Fit To Be Tied Relationship Enrichment & Officiant Service

Fit To Be Tied Relationship Enrichment & Officiant Service Fit To Be Tied provide pre-marriage and relationship enrichment for engaged and dating couples. Officiant services are available upon request.

"What God Has Joined Together, Let No One Separate" (Mark10:9,NIV)

The marriage institution, created by God, joins a man and a woman together to strengthen and support each other, and to help each other grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. This bond grows much stronger when united with the creator, God. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves; a cord of three strands (man

, woman, God) is not quickly broken" (Eccles. 4:12, NIV). Fit To Be Tied provide biblical Christian premarital consulting/coaching to analyze relationship assessments. In addition, we collaborate with couples to help them strengthen growth areas in their relationship, prevent problems, and enrich their relationship. Our goal is to help couples build successful Christian marriages filled with joy, peace, and love.

Real Stuff

Honest and open communication help couples maintain realistic expectations about their relationship. Early in a relation, couples should take time to have honest discussions about what they want in a relationship such as mutual respect, values and spiritual beliefs, boundaries, leisure activities and much more. While these honest conversations can be tough for any couple, they help couples set realistic expectations so they can stay aligned with reality. Couples, always share your expectations openly and honestly, be yourself, flaws and all and remember, transparency is a step to building a genuine relationship connection. Be blessed as you continue your journey together. Dora the Relationship Coach

Real Stuff

Setting unrealistic expectations can put undo strain on your connection with your significant other. Social media, movies, books, magazines, and even your personal desires can obscure your perception of who your partner really is and even blind you to the truth about your relationship itself. Approaching your relationship in an honest and real way will help you focus on what is important such as long-term compatibility, shared values and the willingness to help each other grow individually and relationally. A relationship based on realistic expectations is strong, healthy and is composed of whole individuals who come together to share their lives as they support, respect and grow together as a team. Wishing you well as you continue your journey. Dora, The Relationship Coach.

Real Stuff
Couples have expectations about love and marriage that can powerfully affect their relationship. Are your expectations based on realities or fantasies? Do you approach your relationship realistically or idealistically. Realism is objective and you are both honest about your individual and relationship strengths, imperfections and challenges. Idealism is viewing your relationship in a socially desirable manner without acknowledging its imperfections, challenges and the need for growth. A healthy relationship begins with your recognition that although you have hopes and dreams, you accept the responsibility of standing together as a team, navigating imperfections, and resolving challenges with love, patience, respect and unity. Be blessed as you continue your journey together. Dora the Relationship Coach

Thursday’s Holiday Tip

To recap from Tuesday, keeping the sparkle in your relationship will require you to practice being fully present this holiday as you spend time with your significant other. Put your phone away more often over the holidays so you completely enjoy quality time with your significant other. Push your favorite sports or comedy show aside so you can be fully engaged playing board games or cuddling up in front of a warm fire. It’s also memorable to notice and savor small details of the season such as the smell of brownies baking, the sparkle of the star on the tree top, or the sound of laughter from across the room. After the holidays are gone, there will be many things to do and many places to go, but don’t forget to stop and embrace your significant other too! Being fully present when spending time with your special loved one is what puts the quality in quality time, it increases intimacy and it keeps your connection strong. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Dora the Relationship Coach

You could also volunteer to help in a food kitchen, go on a holiday light tour or simply stay home and watch your favorite Christmas movie. Don’t forget to indulge in buttery popcorn and hot chocolate. Remember, you have options, but the decision to spice up this holiday season is totally up to you. Dora the Relationship Coach.
