Diamond Springs Baptist Church recently welcomed seven new members through baptism — Andy Gallion, Heather Gallion, Amy Lane, Avery Arnold, Wayne Arnold, Levi Hester and Bob Mays are joined by Pastor Dave Starr.
Diamond Springs Baptist Church located northwest of Sandoval gathers for a 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. The church is located northwest of Sandoval on Diamond Springs Road — go west out of Sandoval on Route 50, until you come to Diamond Springs Road, turn right and follow the road to the church. Childcare is available during the service.
Diamond Springs Baptist Church will enjoy hearing it's Pastor David Starr bringing the message for this third Sunday in January, shared the membership. This Sunday will be titled “From Prison to the Penthouse.” Scripture reading will be from the Book of Acts 12:1-17.
The church's talented Jackie Downen will be at the piano playing the old gospel songs from the Family of God Hymn Book. We will be singing, "He is Lord,” "Precious Lord take my Hand,” "He Touched Me" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee.” The Invitational Hymn will be "Softly and Tenderly.” If you know any of these Gospel songs or the beautiful words touch your heart, please join us, shared the church.
Sunday School is roundtable discussion led by Barry Knott. This Sunday's session will be titled " Every Life Valued" from the Book of Matthew. 8:1-4, 14-17; 9:1-8. This week's study is about Jesus healing a man with leprosy. The l***r did not know if Jesus would heal him, but he was confident Jesus would.
Children's church is held immediately following the song service. Last Sunday the children learned and talked about the Prodical son.

KBA Men's Breakfast is held at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. The next gathering is set for Jan. 24 at The Village Garden in Salem.
