Abide In Love With Joy

“”As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In order to abide in God’s love and joy remaining in you, you have to be anchored in Christ.

As you know, if you throw out an anchor over in a boat, you’re not going to drift you might go from side to side, but you won’t drift away.

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Abiding in love, requires humbleness and obedience….

“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

This rooted joy that you have from abiding in Christ is different from circumstantial happiness ……

It is a fruit of the Spirit tied to the unchanging promises of salvation and future glory. Reflecting on these truths provides strength in seasons of hardship.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Then there’s that gratitude thing we should have gratitude, no matter what the circumstances and be grateful and joyful and abide and obey. It all comes with being God‘s child.

“And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. We have to saturate ourselves with scripture ,meditate ,fast and pray.

We need to make time to have that bonding relationship with Christ that were anchored and we’re grounded and we’re rooted and we’re ready to serve!!!!!

OK, I’m gonna say that again for those in the back that did not hear me the first time…..READY TO SERVE !!!!!!!!
It seems like service is the last thing on people‘s mind. They want to be served, but they do not want to serve, and that is part of being a child of God a very big part.

Servitude is something that should be part of our every minute to minute life here on earth !!!!

“Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. Living A Sent Life

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

God has a way of using me at what I think is my lowest point of a day.
Now I can have some pity parties on Ellen ……..
I mean, when I have one, I’ll bring the noisemaker the balloons, the cake, the punch all of it.
And sometimes when I’m in “whoa as me attitude”, that’s when God uses me the most.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.”

When I looked back on some of the people that I’ve talked to, and some of the places that I’ve talked to them at I know that it was God who sent me there because they needed something from Him .

“But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God wants us to always tell our story because you never know the impact it will have on someone that’s hurting or struggling.

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We’ve gotta be ready to be sent. We can’t be walking around in the flesh and expect to be sent in the spirit.

So we have to crucify that flesh daily till that flesh, no humble ourselves and be ready in season and out .

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

We need to live a sent life, whether they receive it or not and a lot of times that’s what hinders believers. They have that mentality “well they won’t listen to me.”

“Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,”

So plant the seed, it not not be that you water it and watch it grow but plant the seed …..

Be Fruitful And Tell Flesh NO

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We all have a sinful human nature. It’s called flesh, and the enemy will allow it to rise in us. It is a choice that we make every day to crucify that flesh daily and tell it no !!!!!!!

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

So we have to renew our mind I know with me it’s sometimes minute by minute and just like we defrag a computer or clear our phones we have to do that with our mind. We have to clear out all the background noise, the white noise and the static in order to walk in the spirit and not the flesh.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Make no provision .We cannot put ourselves in situations that trigger our weakness . This means removing stumbling blocks ,sometimes we have to remove ourselves from social media because I know for me that’s a trigger. Certain apps are not good. Anything that takes us away from a heavenly perspective and puts us in a worldly perspective is not good for us.

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In order to be fruitful and stay fruitful, we have to fix our eyes on Jesus and not worldly things .

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? Pray through temptation, don’t wait till it becomes so overwhelming that it overtakes and then you’re in flesh mode …

“Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭40‬-‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And I know as for me sometimes I have to flee the situation and replace all that negative that we encounter on a day-to-day basis with positive..

Some people can be a Debbie downer, but we won’t positive Polly in our lives so surround yourself with positivity surround yourself with laughter surround yourself with goofing off and having fun instead of bogged down with the weight of the world in your mind.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Flesh Habits

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s easier than you think to develop a flesh habit ….

We really don’t see something as habits, but if you continue to do these fleshly things you fall into a flesh habit …..

I know as for me, gossip is one of them. I don’t think that I’m a gossip until I listen and once you listen, and you’re attentive to what they’re saying, it becomes a spirit of gossip that will try to attach itself to you.

“A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Another flesh habit is neglecting prayer . I’ll pray for them later. I’ll pray for that situation later. I’ve got to do this right now. I’ve got to do that right now. Been there done that.

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Another flesh habit is Judgmentalism: Being quick to criticize the perceived sins or lifestyle choices of others, often forgetting principles of grace and humility.

That’s when we don’t practice Mercy !!!!!!!

“For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

Another fleshly habit is complaining and grumbling ….
Instead of that, we need to reverse it and be grateful and thankful and voice that instead of complaining about something because we have so much to be grateful for …..

“Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.”

And I think one of the biggest fleshly habits is holding grudges !!

And I found lately that I didn’t think that I held a grudge but why do I keep bringing up the alt that I have over and over and over again so we have to be very careful with our thought process ….

This Is Get Wisdom Wednesday Come Join Us @ 7 For That Middle Of The Week Feeding Of Gods Word!

Flesh Against Spirit

“say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As for me, I have to be careful when my flesh starts to wrinkle not to get in full-blown flesh mode …..

I think for me, it starts with frustration, and then the aggravation starts in and then the bitterness and the anger wrinkles the flesh ……

Do I stop it every single time absolutely not I’m working on that ….

“He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the Lord.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭32‬-‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It helps me to identify the root of the frustration and aggravation before it grows into anger and bitterness and malice …….

“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.”

So I have to protect my spirit man and in order to do that I have to do routine maintenance on my mind .
The enemy knows where to get me in my thoughts he brings past failures and past guilt into my thought process, which hinders my spirit ……

But the Bible tells me …….

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Constant prayer and meditation and saturation of the word helps the flesh to not go full blown. Yes it might wrinkle, but you can get it under control a whole lot easier if you’re saturated in the word of God.

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Ask In Faith And Be Patient

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭5-6 NKJV‬‬

Solomon could’ve had anything, but he asked for wisdom ……

“At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?””

We also need wisdom we need wisdom in our daily Christian lives to walk according to God‘s will .

We need wisdom to understand the promises of God …..

Only wisdom can enable us to apply the Scriptures to our lives correctly.

But that’s where faith comes in and we have to have faith for what we ask of God …..

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Now comes the part that I myself struggle with being patient and waiting on the answer …..

What we have to do is switch or focus from the desired outcome to our relationship with God ……

The wait is viewed as an active season of spiritual growth, surrender, and preparation rather than passive inactivity.

That’s where your faith and trust in God and relationship comes in is in that waiting period .I’m praying for a need right now that I’ve prayed for for over 15 years. I haven’t gotten an answer that I want, but I know it’s coming and I have faith in my God that he’s preparing me for when He does answer .

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.”
‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And in that waiting period I have found that the enemy likes to use that vulnerability in me to launch his fiery dart attack.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So as we bring our petitions to the Lord, remember fasting and praying, meditating, and focusing on your relationship with God is the key to having the faith to gain the wisdom .

“And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.””

Straight Ahead Keep Your Focus

“Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬-‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Life is busy and I know sometimes for me it’s hard for me to focus on one particular thing when there’s so many things I’ve got going on in my mind to get accomplished.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I try to always start my day with the word of God that puts my focus on His word, His ways, His love, His forgiveness ,and his mercy.

“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭143‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I try to keep the word of God visible throughout my day throughout my house, where I can read it on the fly .

““Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

I try to listen to worship music just about all day when I’m out. I have it playing in my house even when I’m not there my house is saturated with worship music.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

I try to pray throughout the day, just thanking God and being grateful .

“Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me; For I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You! Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long. Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. I try to volunteer in the community and I care about my community .

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

I try to surround myself with like-minded Christians, who own the same page with me .

I try to share my testimony with others .

“And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””

And I trust God in every situation in my life .
