Please join us in prayer today as we lay to rest a Precious woman on God. She’s rejoicing on the streets of gold.

Janice Marie Rhoden, 68 of Glen St. Mary, was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Saturday, May 30, 2026. She was the daughter of RB and Arie “Sissy” Lauramore, Sr., born on January 26, 1958.

Janice was a true worshipper of Jesus. She was a prayer warrior. She loved being in church, learning the word, living out her faith, and being in the presence of her Lord. She was a dedicated and doting mother, who always looked to uplift and encourage others. Janice enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

She is survived by her children, Traci (Chris) Mann of Sanderson, James “Jimbo” (Ericka) Green of Macclenny, and George “Warren” (Danielle) Rhoden, Jr. of St. George; grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Faith, Charity, Hope, Serenity, Peyton, Mariah, Gabby, Galean, Bailey, Malachi, Eden, and Tristan; two great grandchildren, Kaliyah and Major; siblings, RB (Karen) Lauramore and Eileen (Neal) Stavely; Ms. Nina Davis, who she loved like a mother; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Debbie St. John; and her husband, George Rhoden, Sr.

A home going celebration will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with Pastors Oral Lyons and Justin Griffis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.

Hawke M.T. Forbes and the staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home are honored to serve the Rhoden family with arrangements.
