🙌 WE ARE GETTING CLOSE!!! 🙌

Every time we walk into the new His Open Door Church & Men’s Sober Living Home, we can see the vision becoming reality!

⚡ Electric is ON!
🔨 Sheetrock is DONE!
🎨 Painting is DONE!
🏠 Flooring is DOWN!
🚪 Cabinets are IN and waiting for GRANITE!

And I have to say… the beautiful old preserved stained-glass windows are STILL my favorite part! ❤️ There is just something so special about seeing pieces of the past preserved while God is preparing this building for an entirely new season and a whole lot of NEW BEGINNINGS!

What once was a vision and a prayer is becoming a place where men will find hope and recovery, families will be restored, and people will gather to worship Jesus.

There have been so many prayers, so many hours of work, and so many people who have given, served, donated, and believed in this vision with us. Look what the Lord has done—and He isn’t finished yet!

We are getting SO CLOSE to opening these doors, and I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do inside them! 🙌🔥

There is something so beautiful about looking across the church and seeing the ladies of His Open Door Sober Living Homes with their hands raised, worshiping and praising the Lord. ❤️🙌

For many of our ladies, church isn’t just something they do on Sunday—it has become something they take seriously because their relationship with God is becoming the foundation of their new life.

They come ready to worship. They listen. They learn. They pray for one another. They serve. And they are discovering that recovery is about so much more than simply putting down drugs or alcohol—it’s about allowing God to rebuild a life from the inside out.

Some of my favorite moments are watching women who once felt hopeless stand in the presence of God with their hands lifted, knowing they have been given another chance. That is what restoration looks like. 🙌

We don’t just want to see women get sober. We want to see them healed, restored, discipled, and walking in the purpose God has for their lives.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Watching our ladies praise the Lord today reminded me once again why His Open Door exists. ❤️

God is still changing lives. And we get the privilege of watching it happen. 🙏🔥

There is something so special about watching someone keep pushing forward, keep believing, and keep fighting for a better life no matter how difficult the road has been.

Mary Justine has shown strength, perseverance, growth, and courage, and we are so proud of the woman she is becoming. Her story is a reminder that God still heals, restores, and creates beauty from broken places.

There were battles fought, tears cried, lessons learned, and mountains climbed to get to this moment — but through it all, she never gave up.

Watching God restore hope, strength, purpose, and joy in her life has been such a beautiful reminder that no one is ever too far gone for the grace of God.

There is something so powerful about watching someone fight through hard seasons and still choose faith, growth, and perseverance. Katelynn has shown incredible strength, grace, and determination, and we could not be more proud of her.

Lisa came in unsure if she even liked us… but she’s leaving knowing she loves us! ❤️ What a beautiful journey of growth, healing, and connection.

Watching Lisa step into who God created her to be has been such a blessing. And now, the fact that her job allows her to serve the homeless—there is no doubt she has the perfect heart for it. 🙌 She carries compassion, kindness, and genuine love everywhere she goes.
