✨️Wes led our Devotion!✨️
He shared his testimony
I grew up in a Christian household and was always in church. At 8 I was in my sister’s room listening to music and I went to get something and started thinking of the abcs and couldn’t remember the C and my sister told me what it was, Confess, and I prayed and confessed and was saved. In 6th grade I stayed to realize I was different and didn’t like being different so then I began acting like all my friends. One morning we went to church and heard a message about being a lukewarm two faced Christian and I learned that I was that person and decided to fix it and from then on was different. On December 10th 2023, my grandfather died of cancer. I prayed to God and tried to understand what his plan was but it was hard. In February I was praying and I still didn’t understand why I had lost my church family and my grandfather I felt empty and I asked him what he wanted me to do and he told me he wanted me to preach. I didn’t think that was what I was supposed to do so I ran away for a little while but finally surrendered to the call and announced my call in March of 2024. I ran away from messages when I first started because I was saying I was just to busy or didn’t feel like it but I realized then that no matter what God is calling me to do I have to do it. 1 Timothy 4:12 is a verse I always share with my testimony, “Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, , in faith, and in purity." Just because you’re a youth doesn’t mean you can’t still move for God. You can reach people in your school that others can’t. I leave you with this challenge, bring FCA further into our school. Go tell somebody about God.
