If you knew JR, you probably have a story to tell that is going to make you smile.

Alvin George Jr., “J.R.” went home to be with his Lord on June 5, 2026. He was 74 years old and he lived every single one of those years with intention, with strength, and with a love for people that left no stranger in his wake.

J.R. was a tradesman, an entrepreneur, a man of deep faith, and the steadiest person I have ever known. He had a gift for making you feel heard. He would sit with you in your hardest moments and somehow, just by listening, help you find your way through.

In 2013 he gave his life to Jesus Christ and he never looked back. His greatest wish was that every soul he loved will one day follow him there.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

A memorial service celebrating the life of J.R. will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the San Saba Church of Christ, 201 W. Wallace, San Saba, Texas 76877. All who loved him are welcome.
