Christmas is coming at New Hope! The Second Sunday of Advent includes the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper and a luncheon following worship. Lots of good food to be shared and enjoyed today.

This Sunday, October 5, 2025, is World Communion Sunday. Along with celebrating the Lord's Supper the congregation will host a luncheon following worship.

Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. with the luncheon to follow.

The sermon text will be Luke 17:5-6 - and the sermon title is "Increase Our Faith!"

This Sunday, October 6, 2024 - New Hope will observe World Communion Sunday, followed by an all-church luncheon. The sermon text and title will be Hebrews 1:1-4 - "The Reflection of God's Glory."

This Sunday, August 25, Jimmy Hill will once again be the guest preacher at New Hope Presbyterian Church – 9615 FM 2732. Jimmy graduated from San Saba High School Class of 12996 – where he excelled in athletics – playing football, basketball and track. Attending Tarleton University in Stephenville and Howard College in San Angelo, Jimmy earned his degree in Bible. He served as Director of Operations for House of Faith in San Angelo for 21 years – where his ministry impacted the lives of thousands of children, youth, and their families. He now serves as pastor for New Hope Bible Church in San Angelo, as well as General Manager for Northstar Construction. Married to Heather, they are the proud parents of four sons. His 21-year-old is a property investor in San Angelo; his 19-year-old is a quarterback for the Rams at ASU; his 16-year-old plays for Central High School as receiver and quarterback; and his youngest is a seventh-grader and is also playing football this year. Jimmy’s sermon text is Joshua 22:5 and title of his sermon is “Passion.” Worship begins at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday was a special day as the New Hope church celebrated the baptism of young Dayler. It was the first baptism in over a decade and the congregation met down at the San Saba River. Congratulations to Dayler and blessings to him and his family.

The women of the church always manage to create the best looking table decorations for the every other month church luncheon - topped of with fresh zinnias and other flowers from their gardens.

Another spectacular luncheon was held following worship on Sunday. Just look at those fresh tomatoes, that almond cake and the apricot cobbler - with locally grown apricots - with homemade ice cream too!

New Hope is very old school - even down to its nursery. Classic old primary colors on wooden blocks - which a 21st century child left behind last Sunday.

Look what turned up in the church office? The old John Knox Certificates of Baptism - from almost 60 years ago. Next Sunday, New Hope will celebrate another baptism - but this one will take place in the San Saba River! Looks like it’s time to update the certificates!
