Saturday at Church of the Valley's Women's Connect Café, Aimee Stonebridge shared an encouraging message on contentment and trusting God through every season of life.

She reminded us that contentment isn't found in having everything we want—it's found in trusting the God who is with us in every circumstance. Through the example of Paul, who wrote about contentment while in prison, we were challenged to focus less on our comforts and more on Christ.

We were encouraged to choose gratitude over comparison, remember God's faithfulness, and lean into His presence during difficult seasons. Most importantly, we were reminded that God sees us, knows us, and has not forgotten us.

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." — Matthew 6:34

Join us tomorrow as we conclude our series, and celebrate Father’s day !
Over the past several weeks we've explored how we view God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and ourselves. This Sunday we turn to one final question:
How do I see others?
The answer may reveal more about our spiritual condition than we realize.
On this Father's Day, we'll look at a powerful passage in Zechariah where God's people came asking about religious practices, but God redirected their attention to something deeper—how they treated people.
Spiritual maturity isn't measured only by what we believe, but by how we see and love others.
We can't wait to worship with you and discover what God has for us together. See you Sunday! 🙌❤️

A few days ago, following worship, our church family gathered for our Congregational Meeting—and we walked away encouraged. There's something steadying about being reminded of God's faithfulness, and we felt it in the unity that filled the room.
We praise God for the affirmation of Don Garcia as an Elder of Church of the Valley. Don has served us faithfully, with humility, wisdom, and a genuine heart for God's people. Would you join us in praying for Don, our Elders, and our staff as they lead and shepherd our church family?

We also received an update on our Kingdom Building initiative. We're still early—still in the season of prayer, discernment, and planning—but we left with a clear reminder that this was never about buildings, plans, or numbers. It's about seeking God's direction and faithfully stewarding what He has entrusted to us.
A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Joel for leading our time together with love, humility, clarity, and conviction. His heart for this church and his commitment to following God's leading came through in everything he shared.

As we move forward, here's the prayer we're holding onto:
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." — Psalm 127:1

"Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do." — Jeremiah 42:3

May we be a people who seek His wisdom, trust His timing, and faithfully follow His leading.

Surrounded by the breathtaking waters of Monterey Bay, Pastor Robert and Aimee gathered our students together and opened the morning in prayer. You could feel the anticipation in the air — that quiet, holy nervousness that comes right before something meaningful. One by one, students waded out into the water, ready to take a step they'd been praying and thinking about for a long time. And then came the baptisms!

There's truly nothing like it. Watching a young person stand in the open water, surrounded by people who love them, and publicly declare their faith — it's the kind of moment that stays with you. The waves, the salt air, the sunlight on the water — it all became part of the story. Creation itself seemed to be holding its breath alongside us. Each student who went under and came back up wasn't just getting wet; they were stepping into something brand new. A fresh start. A bold "yes" to a life of faith.

We wrapped up the morning the same way we began — gathered close, heads bowed, hearts overflowing in prayer. There were tears, hugs, and more than a few smiles that wouldn't quit.
To every student who took this step: we couldn't be prouder of you. What you did out there was brave, beautiful, and significant. And as special as that morning was, it's really just the beginning of all that God has in store for you.
We're so grateful we got to witness it.

🙌 Youth Takeover at Church of the Valley! 🙌
"And a little child shall lead them." Scripture told us it would happen, and this morning we got to witness it firsthand. 💛
Our youth completely took over the morning service — and they didn't just participate, they ran the whole thing. From the first song to the final amen, they led worship with a passion that filled the room and lifted every heart. But it didn't stop at the stage. These young people handled all the operations behind the scenes too — sound, slides, greeting, logistics, the works. Everything that usually happens quietly in the background was carried by their hands today, and they did it with such joy and dedication.
There's something deeply moving about watching the next generation step into leadership. It reminds us that faith isn't just passed down — it's picked up, carried forward, and made new again by those coming behind us.
Pastor Robert followed with a powerful message that spoke right to the heart of the morning. And afterward, we did what this church family does best — we gathered around the table, broke bread together, and fellowshipped over a shared meal. Laughter, full plates, and full hearts. 🍽️
To our youth: thank you. You blessed us today more than you know. The future of Church of the Valley is in good hands, and that future is bright. ✨

Tomorrow is Youth Takeover Sunday!! ✝️🙌 Our youth will be leading throughout the service, and we'd love for you to join us as we celebrate what God is doing and teaching this new generation!
