Temple Beth El shares in solidarity this message from the AJC – American Jewish Committee about the attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego:

We stand with the Muslim community in the wake of the horrific shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego in Clairemont that left three people dead.

We commend law enforcement for the swift response to this attack, which is now being investigated as a hate crime.

As the Muslim community across the country grapples with this murderous assault, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring all houses of worship are safe. You are not alone.

What's Happening at Temple Beth El San Pedro

Last Sunday, we partnered with the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and Temple Menorah for a Community Day of Service, packing backpacks with school supplies for the Boys and Girls Club of LA Harbor and Hola.

Emily Torres, the club's Youth of the Year shared her story with us, and it's thrilling she will be attending UCLA in the fall.

We also packed hygiene kits for unhoused folks, made bookmarks, and wrote cards for school children in Israel. 40 volunteers signed up from as far as the Valley and Seal Beach.
