Community Alliance Church

Community Alliance Church Join our community this Sunday at 10am! www.welcometocommunity.com Join us Sundays at 10 AM.

Aligned with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, we're on a relentless mission to share Jesus' transformative love, hope, and mercy with every facet of society—because we've lived it, and it's too good to keep to ourselves.

you've been hurt by a man who said the right things on a platform and then wrecked his family in private — a pastor, an author, a teacher, a voice you trusted who turned out to be a fraud — I want to say this plainly:
I know it. The church has not always been safe for the people it was supposed to protect. Some of what the world says about the church is true. Some men have earned every word spoken against them.
I'm sorry for what that has cost you.
When something like that happens, something breaks. It might not be your faith in Jesus. It might just be your ability to believe any man can carry the name of Jesus without dragging it through the mud.
And here's the mercy of God. When men dragged Jesus' name through the mud, Jesus came down into the wreckage himself. He did not stand far off.

Some leaders in the church have earned every word spoken against them. If one of them hurt you, I'm not going to explain it away.
But hear this: Jesus is not like that.
He will never use you. He will never flatter you. He will never take what he can get and disappear. In him you meet perfect tenderness and perfect truth — not softness without holiness, not holiness without mercy.
In the whole history of the world, Jesus has never broken trust with one person who came to him. Not once.

Two and a half years ago, someone donated a full playground to Community Alliance Church. It's been sitting in a storage closet under my office ever since.

There were real reasons for the wait — the cost of installation came in higher than we expected, we needed city permits, and permits meant we needed actual plans. Chris Castanchoa spent months doing the research to get us there. Then in 2025, through faithful giving and careful spending, God provided the funding. And He brought Jose and Vanessa to our church — they own JAC Landscaping, right here in Richmond, and their bid matched what God had provided almost to the dollar.

Today, they got started.

If you've got kids, point out the construction in the parking lot this Sunday. Tell them God is working in the waiting — for our good and His glory.
Community Alliance Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Richmond, California. We'd love to meet you.

Before the empty tomb, there was the cross.

Join us this Good Friday, Friday, April 3 at 6:30 PM, for a reflective service centered on the seven statements of Christ from the cross. Through Scripture, prayer, seven brief meditations, and a blend of traditional and contemporary music, we will remember the love of Jesus, the weight of his sacrifice, and the hope his death secured. Our choir and bell choir will help lead us through this meaningful evening of worship and reflection.

Come and prepare your heart for Easter by stepping into the story again. Childcare is available.

The passion of THE ALLIANCE is not just for us to know Jesus, but also to help others know Him.  We become the embodiment of Jesus by personally engaging in His mission, especially with the people groups around the world who have little or no access to the Gospel.  As they respond, our goal i...

As we observe Black History Month, we remember the remarkable legacy of Rev. Charles Satchell Morris, the first African-American principal of Boydton Institute. Brought into the Alliance family at General Council 1911, Boydton Institute provided essential theological and academic training for African-American pastors and teachers during a pivotal moment in history.
Rev. Morris cultivated a deeply Christ-centered and academically rigorous environment—investing personally in his students, praying earnestly for them, and urging them to pursue excellence. His leadership shaped lives that went on to make a lasting impact long after graduation. Beyond his time at Boydton Institute, Rev. Morris was a minister, missionary, civil rights activist, and former secretary to Frederick Douglass. We honor Rev. Morris and thank God for the ways his ministry continues to inspire unity, dignity, and Christ-centered leadership today.
