Ray Keasler Has Passed Away

Pastor Ray Keasler of Abundant Heart Ministries of Granite Shoals passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon. 03/27/2026

He had just done some repairs on his motorcycle and left the house to do a test drive and go to the grocery store. A box truck hit him and was immediately in the presence of his savior.

Ray and his wife Cricket have been avid riders for decades. He was wearing all the proper riding gear as usual.

Please pray for Cricket, Trey, the family and the body at Abundant Heart.

Message from our minister, Salomon Avila, that pastors on the Mexican border.

SMTX: are you guys okay given the cartel activity?

Salomon: Yes , it is pretty hectic. The Pastors are doing what they can to keep the people calm . Got some Missionary’s that were coming in to Reynosa to pickup bibles and tracts at our base we have in Reynosa but had to tell them to wait for awhile. Report is around 20 road blocks and one of them is from Reynosa to Monterey. Have a Pastors son from Rio Bravo staying here with me. His father doesn’t want him crossing over here early in the morning at five to go to work and crossing back late at night so I told him I would put him up till it calms down.
Sad to say it’s nothing new. We had these things happen a couple of years ago. There’s always a power struggle. Gotta use wisdom. The people are pretty good about sharing information where the hotspots are other than that, all this doing pretty good. Keep our eyes on the Lord the author to finish of our faith. Pray y’all are doing well. Have a blessed afternoon.
