Father Bruce and Brothers all, I send out this message with a very heavy heart. I received a message from our sister Martha Richardson. She informed me that our Brother Dwayne passed away peacefully early this morning. Let us pray: Lord Jesus Christ, by your own three days in the tomb, you hallowed the graves of all who believe in you and so made the grave a sign of hope that promises resurrection even as it claims our mortal bodies.

Grant that our brother Dwayne Richardson, may sleep in peace until you awaken him to glory, for you are the resurrection and the life. Then he will see you face to face and in your light will see light and know the splendor of God, for you live and reign for ever and ever. Amen

As we enter this beautiful Advent season, my prayers are with each of you for a time filled with peace, joy, and blessings. We are excited to come together as a community for our Council's Advent Party, which will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 5:00 pm in Healy Hall.

To make this celebration truly special, the Council will be providing a turkey and ham, and we invite each of you to bring a dish to share. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great food, fellowship, and the spirit of the season together.

Worthy Chaplain and Brother Knights,

One of our most special events of the year is our annual Memorial Mass where we celebrate the lives of our brother Knights who have died. It will be held on November 11th, Veteran's Day, in the Mission Church. One highlight of the Mass is when we read the names of all members who have died since our council was founded in 1977.

As before, PGK Joel Avendano is chairing the event. And he needs help.

Worthy Brother Knights, On Tuesday, November 11th @ 6:30pm, we will have a mass in memory of all our deceased brothers that have gone on before us. The mass will take place at the Deer Springs Mission Church. There will be a reception immediately afterwards. This is one of the most important events....

On behalf of myself and my fellow Brother Knights of Council 6979's Exemplification Degree Team, please allow me welcome you again to our Noble Order, the Knights of Columbus, Council # 6979! We were and are Blessed to have been given the opportunity to personally meet you and welcome you into the Knights of Columbus, Council 6979! Without hesitation, you each expressed and demonstrated the exemplary qualities we look for in Catholic men wanting to become Knights; i.e., serving or wanting to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His one and only Apostolic Catholic Church!
