Our Brother Bob died peacefully yesterday around noon with Carol and their sons at his side.

Lord Jesus, Bob is gone now from this earthly dwelling, and has left behind those who mourn his absence. Grant that we may hold his memory dear, never bitter for what we have lost nor in regret for the past, but always in hope of the eternal Kingdom where You will bring us together again.

Blessed Michael McGivney, we pray you, in the company of the Blessed Virgin Mary and angels, es**rt your humble Knight Bob to his ultimate reward.

Worthy Chaplain and Brother Knights,

We all know Kerry from our Lenten Fish Dinners. For many years he was a mainstay in the Healy Hall kitchen, chiefly as the main cook and overseer of all activities. I've said many times his skill as a chef was very instrumental in the success of our fish fries. Although not Catholic, Kerry was certainly very Catholic friendly to us Knights and the St Mark's community.

Sadly the council has learned Kerry was attacked outside his Escondido home yesterday. He is currently at Palomar in very serious condition. I've read his alleged attacker is in custody.

Let's pause and offer a prayer for Kerry.

Lord Jesus, You came to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Our friend Kerry has been deeply wounded by violence, affecting his mind, body, and spirit. We pray for Your divine touch to bring complete healing. Erase the painful memories, soothe the anxious thoughts, and restore peace to his soul. Help him to process his emotions in a healthy way, and grant him the strength to let go of bitterness and resentment. Guide also the medical team caring for him.

Lord your Word promises that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions. May we all receive that comfort now.

The Lord heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147.3

Father Bruce and Brothers all, I send out this message with a very heavy heart. I received a message from our sister Martha Richardson. She informed me that our Brother Dwayne passed away peacefully early this morning. Let us pray: Lord Jesus Christ, by your own three days in the tomb, you hallowed the graves of all who believe in you and so made the grave a sign of hope that promises resurrection even as it claims our mortal bodies.

Grant that our brother Dwayne Richardson, may sleep in peace until you awaken him to glory, for you are the resurrection and the life. Then he will see you face to face and in your light will see light and know the splendor of God, for you live and reign for ever and ever. Amen

As we enter this beautiful Advent season, my prayers are with each of you for a time filled with peace, joy, and blessings. We are excited to come together as a community for our Council's Advent Party, which will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 5:00 pm in Healy Hall.

To make this celebration truly special, the Council will be providing a turkey and ham, and we invite each of you to bring a dish to share. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great food, fellowship, and the spirit of the season together.
