Let's get ready for Stake Conference! Earlier this week the First Presidency asked that members wear masks in public meetings whenever social distancing is not possible, and the Stake is supporting that by asking attendees to mask when attending Stake Conference and other meetings. See full details of both letters below.

I am grateful as always for all those who work to make these meetings possible. Grateful for the Spirit that is present for the meetings. Even though we cannot see each of you, There is a great spirit of unity that we feel day by day week by week.I hear of accounts on a regular basis of individuals who are consistently ministering to others in quiet unassuming ways. Thanks to each of you individually and collectively for striving to be sensitive to those in need of a boost. This is what families do. We are very thankful we are able to provide the Sacrament to everyone who desires to receive it, week to week. In Mosiah 4:12, as King Benjamin is teaching the fundamental principles of the Gospel and the importance of striving to keep the commandments and our covenants, he states, "And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true."Regardless of our circumstances we can find reason to rejoice and our hearts can be filled with love, which really is the sustaining influence that comes from the Spirit, our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ. I also thought of the scripture 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear..."When we listen to President Nelson and each of the apostles and other inspired leaders, I do not sense a feeling of dread or fear. What I do feel consistently is the love of our Savior and Father in Heaven, and the loving, guiding influence of the Holy Spirit. The more we are able to love, the less we will be inclined to fear. As the Young Women's theme for 2020 states, may we each continue to, "seek and act upon personal revelation and minister to others in His holy name."Sincerely,Bishop Platt

Message from the first Presidency below:

Christ said to love one another and mourn with those that mourn. Our brothers and sisters are hurting. We will support and bear one another’s burdens just as Christ did ♥️

From the First Presidency:
“We join with many throughout this nation and around the world who are deeply saddened at recent evidences of racism and a blatant disregard for human life. We abhor the reality that some would deny others respect and the most basic of freedoms because of the color of his or her skin.

The Creator of us all calls on each of us to abandon attitudes of prejudice against any group of God’s children.

We need to foster a fundamental respect for the human dignity of every human soul, regardless of their color, creed, or cause.

And we need to work tirelessly to build bridges of understanding rather than creating walls of segregation.

I plead with us to work together for peace, for mutual respect, and for an outpouring of love for all of God’s children.”

Hello Brothers and Sisters,Here is the invitation for out meeting tomorrow and for the remaining Sundays in June.

Tomorrow, June 7, will be our fast and testimony meeting.

In advance I would like to thank Brad Applin who has agreed to be our webinar operator tomorrow while Jacob Dean and family are out of town.

We would like to welcome three new full-time missionaries to our ward.

Joining Elder Kunzler as Spanish speaking missionaries we have Elder Reynolds and Elder Kempton.

Elder Seversike is joined by Elder Miller; serving as our English speaking missionaries.

Please let's keep the Elders and Sisters here and everywhere in our prayers, praying for those serving here, by name, and let's continue to keep Sister Nicole Kasper in our prayers by name as well.

We have two new sisters who have been baptized since last Sunday. Lisseth Robles was baptized on Sunday May 31, and this afternoon Candice Arenas was baptized and confirmed. Very happy to have these two sisters as the newest members of our Ward Family.
