Faith & the Fathers!

As we begin the Apostles’ Fast, we look to the example of the Apostles, who prepared themselves through prayer and fasting before preaching the Gospel to the world.

Through this series, we’ll reflect on Scripture and the wisdom of the Church Fathers, discovering how both continue to guide us in our walk with Christ today.

May this fast draw us closer to Christ and transform us into vessels of honor, sanctified and prepared for every good work🙏🏾

This Sunday, we celebrated Dagmay Tinsae, marking Christ’s appearance to St. Thomas. It is a powerful reminder that our faith goes beyond what our eyes can see.

Thomas’s journey reminds us that even in our moments of questioning, Christ meets us with peace and invites us to draw closer. Just as St. Thomas moved from doubt to the iconic confession, “My Lord and my God!”, we are invited to encounter the Resurrected Christ in our hearts today.

Good Friday calls us to remember our Lord’s mercy and suffering as we reflect on His endless love and sacrifice. Through prostrations, we bow in humility and draw closer to His passion. May our hearts be filled with repentance, gratitude, and unwavering faith.

On Covenant Thursday, Christ knelt and washed His disciples’ feet, the Lord of glory showing us that true greatness is found in humility and service.

“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” John 13:14

On this holy night, He also instituted the Holy Communion, giving us His very Body and Blood (Matthew 26: 26-28). He commanded us to partake of Him, to abide in Him, and to be united as one Body in His love.
