GLOW is a ministry under the Children Department of Heritage Baptist Church. We want to partner with parents by instilling godly character traits in kids.

Our desire is to help children light up the world they are living in with the truth of the gospel.

Tomorrow is the last day of our mini contest! We will be having one last lesson on thankfulness, decorating pumpkins, playing some fall games, and more. Hope to see you!

Last Saturday we learned about the enemies of unthankfulness: comparison, expectation, discontented spirit, and busyness. We should not let these enemies prevent us from having a thankful spirit. One way we can defeat these enemies is by constantly reminding ourselves of the blessings we have and think of ways we can show thankfulness. How can you show thankfulness to those around you this week? Start with your parents, teachers, or other family members who you are close to!

Ready for Day 2 of our contest? Tomorrow we will be giving the answer for the weight of the pumpkin from last week. For this week’s mini-game it will be guessing the # of candy corn in the jar, so get your glasses ready! As another reminder, you can gain points by memorizing 1 Thessalonians 5:18!

This past week, we talked about the characteristic of Thankfulness. Jesus heals 10 lepers, but only one thanked him. We should always thank those that help us and be thankful for everything. 🍁 As a reminder, the memory verse is I Thessalonians 5:18! Make sure to practice it in order to gain points!
