Community Presbyterian Church of San Juan Capistrano Community Presbyterian Church is an inclusive congregation that worships Christ, learns to live as disciples, and serves the wider community.

From its very beginning, the basic roots of CPC were founded on Sunday School—the Christian education of our youth. This fundamental platform on which our church resides has continued through every phase and continues to this day. Adult education, youth ministry, children’s ministry, kindergarten and preschool programs are all active at Community Presbyterian Church. Debbie Reeder is our current D

irector of Children’s Ministries and Terri Treemarcki-Beck is our Preschool and Kindergarten Director. Our greatest strengths are the close personal relationships of members, our Christian education programs, and creative worship. Our efforts to minister to the needs of our members and the community were begun in the early years of the last century and have continued into the twenty-first century. After more than ninety years of Christian service, we’re looking toward the future while building on the past. Our vision at Community Presbyterian Church, San Juan Capistrano is to nurture, teach, and serve. We would love to have you join us and become part of our history.

Family Sunday: Music, BBQ, and Memories!

Looking for the perfect Sunday afternoon? Our upcoming Dixieland Bash is officially a "great family event," according to band leader Dan Gilson.

Gather on the beautiful new labyrinth at Community Presbyterian Church to hear the South County Stompers play the high-energy "Dixieland" style that has kept audiences dancing for over a century.

On April 29, 2026, Deacons Larry, Anne, Ann, Nancy, Rita, Marti, and Jackie met with Amber Colopy, founder of The James Relief Project. Amber provided an overview of the nonprofit, located in downtown San Juan Capistrano. She shared handouts for our reference and for others who may benefit from its services, and she answered all our questions. Amber noted that the organization primarily serves South Orange County, because she feels fewer resources are available in this area than in the northern part of the county.

The James Relief Project has been in operation for about two years and is a program for adults seeking stability in their lives. Some of their clients come from Kathy’s House, Daniel’s House and Vera’s House. Amber says their aim is to be encouragers to help people connect with available resources, bridging the gap between need and access.

New Orleans Soul, Right Here in San Juan Capistrano

Why travel to Louisiana when the best traditional jazz is right in our backyard? The South County Stompers are bringing the spirit of 1917 to our outdoor labyrinth stage on June 14 at 4:00 PM.
