⛪As Giving Tuesday gets closer, we’ve been reflecting on one of the most beloved landmarks in our region. The Mission San Juan Bautista means something different to each of us. Some of us were married there. Some wandered its halls as kids with parents or grandparents. Others simply feel a sense of calm the moment they step inside. These personal stories are woven into the history of South County.

✨This year, the Mission San Juan Bautista Preservation Fund was established here at Gilroy Foundation to help honor that history. We’re proud to partner with the Mission as they continue their work to preserve this place for future generations.

We are happy to announce that this past Giving Tuesday we raised just over $100,000 for the general fund and with the help of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation and many others we have raised $650,000, 87%, of the matching funds required to receive the SAT matching grant, and we now have $120,000 to raise to receive the $750,000 in matching funds. The $1.5 million total will make the Project possible! Please visit: savemissionsjb.org to help us finish our goal!
