Are you truly following God, or are you just a Christian in name only?
You weep during worship service, but as soon as you walk out of the church, your life doesn't change a bit. You resolved to put God first, but in your daily life, work, entertainment, and desires still take priority. It's easy to say, ""I love God,"" but it's hard to live it out. Tears won't change you. Emotions won't change you. Only true faith can change you. God says, ""'Belief in God' means believing that there is a God; this is the simplest concept as regards believing in God. To take this a step further, believing that there is a God is not the same as truly believing in God; rather, it is a kind of simple faith with strong religious overtones. True belief in God means the following: On the basis of the belief that God holds sovereignty over all things, one experiences His words and His work, and thereby casts off oneβs corrupt dispositions, satisfies the intentions of God, and comes to know God. Only a journey of this kind may be called 'belief in God'."" The Bible also reminds us, ""Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone."" (James 2:17) So don't deceive yourself: If Sunday moved you, but Monday looks no differentβthat isn't faith. God's word isn't meant to just make you feel something; it's meant for you to practice, to be transformed by, and to live out. Only when the truth enters your decisions and your lifestyle will you experience true renewal. Don't just listen. Don't just feel. Go and do. That is true faith in God. If you long for real transformation, not just a faith in name only, put ""Transform"" in the comments. Want to be more rooted in the truth?
