Monica Rising ha regresado de Tijuana. Su reflexión:
Cada año que voy a Tijuana, cambio.
Este año, en Tijuana, encontré Tierra Santa. Tierra Santa es un lugar donde Cristo está presente.
Cristo estuvo presente en la familia que luchaba por vivir en una casa llena de goteras y moho. Oraron por seguridad y maneras de mantenerse saludables. Como resultado, 54 personas nacidas en 8 países viajaron a Tijuana para construirles un hogar. Personas que aceptaron hacer la obra de Dios y se convirtieron en manos de Dios, manos santas. ¡Qué hermoso milagro!
Hace 5 años, otra familia se vio obligada a abandonar su hogar en el sur de México con solo lo puesto. Cristo respondió a su fe con un hogar la semana pasada. Un hogar construido con oraciones y manos santas.
Encontré personas con manos santas que trabajan con jóvenes y ofrecen becas y una escuela para niños con necesidades especiales. Esos niños están llenos de Cristo. Esos jóvenes aprenden habilidades y conocimientos para ayudar a su comunidad. Médicos, psicólogos, ingenieros, maestros, enfermeras, arquitectos y muchos más. Están llenos de amor y hacen la obra de Dios por los pobres. Tienen manos y corazones santos.
En la Clínica de SIDA y Tuberculosis del Albergue Las Memorias encontré hombres y mujeres adictos con SIDA y Tuberculosis, rechazados por sus familiares y amigos y tratados como parias. Estos hombres y mujeres fueron cuidados con tanto amor por quienes vieron a Cristo en ellos que sanaron, aprendieron a amarse de nuevo y quisieron cuidar a los demás.
¿Quién construye una Clínica de SIDA o Tuberculosis? ¿Hospitales? ¿Corporaciones? ¿Fundaciones?
La Clínica de SIDA fue construida con AMOR por un exadicto y paciente de SIDA. La Clínica de Tuberculosis fue construida por otro adicto que se convirtió en profesor universitario con doctorado e investiga sobre la tuberculosis y el SIDA, y su amor está salvando muchas vidas. Cristo los transformó a todos con amor. Dios no descarta a nadie. Antonio y Román tienen manos santas. Cuando haces la obra de Cristo, Cristo está presente y tus manos son las manos de Dios. Tus manos se vuelven santas. Y todo comienza con el amor de Cristo por nosotros y con nuestro sí a su petición.
Nuestro amor por Cristo se transforma en amor por los pobres y enfermos, y la Tierra se vuelve santa porque Cristo está presente.
El amor obra milagros. Lo vi en casas, sanando enfermos, cuidando niños, compartiendo bolsas de comida con los hambrientos. El amor significa que Cristo está con nosotros.
Así que, en Tijuana, me encontré en Tierra Santa y siendo transformado.

Every year I go to Tijuana, Every year I I am changed.
This year, In Tijuana, I found Holy Ground
Holy Ground is a place where Christ is present.
Christ was present in the family who was struggling to live in a house filled with leaks and mold. They prayed for safety and ways to stay healthy. As a result, 54 people born 8 countries traveled to TJ to build them a home. People who said yes to doing God’s work and became God’s hands, holy hands. What a beautiful miracle.
5 years ago another family was forced from their home in southern Mexico with only what they were wearing. Christ answered their prayers with a home last week. A home built with faith and holy hands.
I found people with holy hands who work with the youth and provided scholarships and a school for special needs children. Those children are filled with the Christ. Those young people learn skills and knowledge to help their community. Doctors, Psychologists, Engineers, Teachers, Nurses, Architects and so many more. They are filled with love and do God’s work for the poor. They have holy hands and holy hearts.
In Las Memorias Albergue AIDS and TB Clinic I found men and women who were addicts with AIDS and TB, who were shunned by their family and friends and treated as pariah. These men and women were cared for so lovingly by those who saw Christ in them that they healed, they learned to love themselves again and then they wanted to care for others.
Who builds a AIDS or TB Clinic? Hospitals? Corportations? Foundations?
The AIDS Clinic was built with LOVE by Antonio, a former addict and AIDS patient. The TB Clinic was built by another addict, Roman who became a PHD College professor and does research on TB and AIDS and their love is saving many lives. Christ transformed them all with Love. God has no throw away people. Antonio and Roman have holy hands. When you do Christ’s work, Christ is present and your hands are God’s Hands. Your hands become holy. And it all starts with Christ’s love for us and Us saying yes to Christ’s request. Our Love for Christ turns into Love for the poor and sick and the Ground becomes holy for Christ is present.
Love builds miracles. I saw that as houses, healing the sick, caring for the children, sharing food bags to the hungry. Love means Christ is with us
So, in Tijuana, I found myself standing on Holy Ground and being changed by love.
