Another faithful titan has gone to be with the Lord.

Voddie Baucham was instrumental to my faith and the formation of my theology. Through his preaching and teaching, he pointed me again and again to the sufficiency of Scripture, the centrality of the Gospel, and the glory of Christ.

Though I never met him, I have listened to hundreds of hours of his sermons. His voice and conviction shaped how I read the Bible, how I think about family, church, and culture, and how I desire to live faithfully as a disciple of Jesus.

Today, I grieve this loss, but not without hope — because the same Christ he proclaimed with boldness is the Christ who has welcomed him home.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21)

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Voddie Baucham. May his legacy continue to strengthen the Church and point many to Christ.

The first time I heard John MacArthur preach was in 2009. I had never encountered expository preaching before—just opening the Bible and letting it speak. No stories, no theatrics, no fluff. Just the Word.

That sermon marked a turning point in my life. A massive theological shift began that day, and it’s no exaggeration to say his preaching reshaped how I view God, Scripture, and the church. His commitment to the authority and sufficiency of the Bible left a permanent mark on me.

Dr. MacArthur’s impact on my life is undeniable. I’m deeply grateful for his faithfulness and the legacy he leaves behind.

Well done, good and faithful servant. You pointed many to Christ—including me.
