Hello everyone. We just finished our study on the Bait of Satan - by John Bevere.

This was an amazing study and so relevant to the church and our culture today.

We will be starting our new Living The Word Group Study in 2 weeks.

This is a new 6 week course titled:
"YOU'LL GET THROUGH THIS", By Max Lucado.

This study uses the life of Joseph to show us how God can turn our tragedies into blessings and that no matter what we're going through, he is near to us and stays by our side.

Class start date: 6/22
Last lesson on 8/3 (we will skip class on 7/27)

Yaay. We finished our study on the Bait of Satan.
Hi there. Here is the recap of our Bait of Satan course - Lesson 6 - RECONCILIATION

Here are a few things we learned:
* Pride is a major obstacle to finding freedom from offense.
* While some offenses are less impactful and can be dealt with quickly, others wound us deeply. Wounds don’t heal overnight and if they’re not properly treated, they never heal.
* There are certain signs that indicate we’ve taken the bait and fallen into the trap of a fence. There are also signs that confirm we’re being healed from its effects. We need to be wise enough to recognize these in our lives and the lives of others.
* God wants us to be reconciled to him and to our brothers and sisters in Christ. He’s given us the gift of reconciliation to reconnect these relationships humble repentance is the key to unlock this restoration.
* To truly walk in agreement with God, we have to surrender our right to be offended. As much as possible, our aim should be to live at peace with everyone.

I pray that you were blessed by this study and now are bested equipped to handle offense as they arise.
This a book I feel you will want reread often.

Hi there. Here is the recap of our Bait of Satan course from this past Sunday - Lesson 5 - ESCAPING THE TRAP

Here are a few things we learned:

- A person who cannot forgive is one who has forgotten what they've been forgiven of.

- in order to experience the greatness of God's forgiveness we have to extend forgiveness to others.

- No matter how we categorize it in a sin this applies to unforgiveness too. It is sin not just a weakness.

- whenever we encounter offense will come out of it changed what we do with it will determine our future. Our options are either bitter or better there's no in between.

- you do have the ability to forgive any offense because the love of God has been poured into your heart.

Here is the recap of our Bait of Satan course - Lesson 4 - HOW TO HANDLE UNFAIR TREATMENT

Here are a few things we learned:

- We are to leave revenge to God. It’s a command not a suggestion.

- When we are falsely accused God Himself will defend us if we let Him.

- We are to submit to our leaders, whether they are good and gentle or harsh and unreasonable. We need God’s supernatural strength living in and through us to do this.

- We are to humble ourselves and bless those who treat us unjustly. It’s God’s way, and we will receive a blessing if we follow His ways.

- What we plant is what we will harvest. If we plant seeds of love, Mercy, peace and forgiveness, we will eventually reap a harvest of the same. Good seed produces a good harvest.

Hello everyone. Here is the recap of our Bait of Satan course - Lesson 3 - MY FATHER, MY FATHER!

Here are a few things we learned:
- The most difficult offenses we face are often not with our peers, but with people in authority over us.

- There will be times when God puts us in a place where we have evidence and opportunity to expose the sin of a leader who has wronged us. He usually does this to test our hearts to see if we’ll trust him and leave judgment in His hands.

- To be a man or woman after God‘s own heart, we must refuse to take revenge on those who have mistreated us.

- While all authority is from God, not all authority is godly. We often have to see beyond the leaders behavior and honor their God-given position.

- As we keep ourselves in the love of God, we can avoid being offended, even with the harshest of leaders.
