Statement from Archbishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D. Regarding the Health of Pope Francis

"On this Feast of the Chair of St. Peter, we are reminded of the unbroken succession that unites the Church across generations.

Today, as reports confirm that our Holy Father, Pope Francis, is in critical condition, I ask the faithful and all people of goodwill to join in prayers for him. May the Lord grant him strength, healing, peace, and consolation in this moment of trial."

Join Archbishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D., in praying for our California neighbors effected by the fires.

"I join Archbishop José H. Gomez and the clergy of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in calling for prayers for all those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California. My heart goes out to those who have lost family members, their homes and livelihoods.

Together we lift up in prayer all the suffering, as well as the courageous firefighters and first responders selflessly risking their lives to protect others. Together we ask Our Lady of the Angels to intercede for them as we pray for an end to this devastation."
