Hey everyone! We all know God wants to have personal, life-changing relationships with each of us, but have we ever asked why we do not always experience them in the way the Bible talks about? The answer, is most of us are not willing to turn aside from seeking worldly happiness long enough to actually have them

We know God offers us deeply intimate, personal relationships filled with a freedom from sin, supernatural experiences that change our lives, revelations t

Hey everyone! Even though God promises to reward us for seeking his kingdom and his righteousness first in our lives, have we ever asked ourselves why we mostly pursue worldly happiness first instead? The answer, is our identities are more wrapped around the world's promises than God's

What we base our identities on reflects what we find most valuable in life, as they determine our sense of purpose, goals, priorities and influence how

Hey everyone! Today's article addresses two common but popular misconceptions in Christianity, ie: nothing we do can affect our relationship with God, and that our salvation is guaranteed regardless of how we live. It is challenging, but according to the Bible neither of these things are true. I am happy to answer any questions, but please read the article before commenting, thank you!

We are surrounded with an endless supply of people telling us the path to salvation is easy, guaranteed, and unconditional no matter how we live, but is this really true? If it is, then why did every author in the NT say it was possible for Christians to fall short of eternal life if we live outside…

Hey everyone! I am back in the US after being in China for over a year and have so much to talk about! God worked so many changes in my life and heart while I was away, and revolutionized my faith in ways I never thought possible. China blocks Facebook completely so posting has been difficult but you can expect all sorts of challenging messages in the months ahead--lukewarm Christianity beware!

You may have been wondering why the site has been so quiet this past year, it was because I was in China for work since last June if you can believe that! Facebook, and so many other things are blocked in China which made posting difficult, but I kept writing and have oceans of experiences and revel…

Hey everyone! We get inspired reading about all the amazing things God did in the Bible, but why is it that we almost never experience the same types of supernatural events as the early church? The answer is simple: we do not live out the same kind of faith they did

We rarely like to talk about this, but have we ever wondered why the Christianity we experience rarely, if ever, lines up with the awesome, mind boggling experiences the authors of the Bible wrote about? Since we worship the same God the early church did, what explains the undeniable difference in t…

Hey everyone! Have we ever asked ourselves if we are the kind of sincere believers Jesus said he wanted as his disciples--probably not! However, Jesus said not everyone who called themselves a Christian would be sincere or go to heaven, as many will be surprised to find out they fell short because of how they lived

Sure, many of us have either been raised in churches or exposed to Christianity since we were young, but despite sometimes even life-long commitments to God, have we ever asked ourselves if we are true Christians or are deceived into just wearing the label? ...um, what? Introduction To get the obvio...

Hey everyone! When faced with temptation, we rarely think about God's feelings, let alone consider them enough to stop ourselves from giving in, but why is this if we claim to love him so much?

We all know how much it hurts when someone breaks a promise to us, but have we ever asked ourselves why we feel so comfortable breaking promises we make to God? The sad truth, is even when we know we are going to hurt God by breaking a promise, which usually involves sinning in a way we promised no...

Hey everyone! Have you ever noticed how much we say we love God, but our relationships look nothing like an actual love affair? The sad truth, is we make other things in our lives higher priorities than drawing near to God, so how do we actually fall in love with him instead of just talking a good game?

Have you ever noticed how upset we get when we feel our partner is not giving us the love or attention we desire, yet, despite this sensitivity in our earthly relationships, it is ironic how we can be completely oblivious to how God feels when we ignore, and blatantly hurt him as we live according t...

Hey everyone! One of the most amazing God-given promises we have as Christians is the ability to rise above temptation itself through God's healing power, teaching us not to just apologize when we stumble, but to be able to have a complete change of heart so we never want to do it again--how awesome is that?

You know that familiar feeling when we are doing something we know is wrong, where our consciences finally catch up with our behavior, and we suddenly become so overwhelmed with guilt we apologize and stop whatever it is we were doing? Oh, sorry, of course not, right, what was I thinking, you have n...

Hey everyone! It is not easy to avoid being led astray when socializing with, and witnessing to our friends, as we often find ourselves in situations that make us uncomfortable, but how do we avoid temptation without seeming like a self-righteous elitist?

Honestly, the short answer, is very, as we should be incredibly particular when it comes to who we spend our time with However, to avoid alienating our friends, co-workers, school friends, etc..., we need to carefully judge who we spend our time with, and for how long, as not every Christian friends...

Hey everyone! The past few months have been the most amazing, life-changing experience of my life, as God has shown me what a sincere, passionate relationship with him really looks like, and guess what, it looks exactly like what we read about in the Bible--go figure! Read on to take an incredible step toward maturity!

After thirty-two years of being a Christian, I finally get what it is really about! I know this may sound a bit ridiculous at first, but over the past two months, God brought me to a place where my attitude towards Christianity has changed so dramatically it is beyond humbling...
