The first fruit of the Spirit is the fruit of love! If we are going to overcome the works of the flesh we need to allow the LOVE of God that has been poured out into our heart to find expression through us! As we soak in the love of God the works of the flesh begin to lose their power

The Blessed Life Is 'In Christ’

We have been "blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3). You don't need to qualify for the heavenly life. You are qualified in Christ! The obedience of Man has brought you into new life and has also taken the curse on your behalf! Rejoice!

Walking Free From the Works of the Flesh

The Apostle Paul wrote, "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13). He then listed the "works of the flesh" as adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like (Galatians. 5:19-21). How Jesus Teaches Us To Handle Conflict

In Matthew 18 the Lord Jesus gives very specific instructions of what to do when someone sins against you. The devil loves when Christians do not follow our Lord’s instructions but instead gossip, slander, and don’t seek reconciliation. Instead of simmering in pain and planning revenge, we're called to walk in forgiveness and love through the power of the cross. Don't let Satan win this battle in your heart.

Satan Loves When We Are Unforgiving

Paul wrote, “You ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him… in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes” (2 Cor. 2:7-8, 11). Don't let the enemy trap you in unforgiveness and lack of love! Satan wants us stuck in bitterness and hatred, but we're called to walk in grace, forgiveness, and love! The church is a place of restoration!
