Did you know that 75% of elementary students in OUR valley are at risk of not completing high school and continuing the cycle of poverty? With guidance from a mentor or academic program at-risk students are 50% more likely to graduate high school and enroll in college. That's where The Kaleidoscope Project comes in! The word “kaleidoscope” derives from the Greek words “kalos” (beautiful), “eidos”
(to look at) and “scopeo” (to look at or examine) which means, “looking at beautiful forms.” As caring adults invest in children at local schools, they will be unleashing the God-given potential of each child one child at a time. Our work focuses on tutoring, mentoring and enrichment activities – drama & soccer. Our caring volunteers daily facilitate these quality activities for children immediately following the end of the school day. Our work is school-based, so no time is lost in transportation and we are easily able to collaborate with school staff.
