What a sacred night.

Our Good Friday Art Walk was filled with reflection, creativity, and space to slow down and consider the weight and beauty of the cross. Artists of all ages helped us step into the story of Jesus in a way that words alone can’t always capture.

Thank you to everyone who created, served, and came. It was a powerful reminder that His love is not distant. It’s personal. It’s for us.

Now we turn toward Sunday.

Easter at New City
Sunday, April 5
10:00 AM
The Chapel | 3200 Santo Rd

Hope in a heavy world.

The world feels heavy right now. There’s a lot of noise, a lot of darkness, and a lot of people just trying to hold it together.

Easter reminds us that hope isn’t a mindset. It’s not positive thinking. It’s not denial. Hope has a name, and His name is Jesus.

If you’ve tried everything else, what if this is your invitation to try hope?

Come as you are. Bring your questions. Bring your weariness. Bring your people.

After service we’ll continue the celebration with an Easter egg hunt for nursery through high school, a bounce house obstacle course, and a 360 photo booth.

The egg hunt will be at the base field, about a two minute walk from the Chapel.

Parking note: please park along the street, at the YMCA, or move your car after service to make space for the next gathering.

We’d love to see you.

Holy Week is more than a set of events—
it’s an invitation to walk with Jesus.

There are so many meaningful resources out there to help you slow down and reflect this week—this is just one that we’ve found especially helpful:

It walks through each day of Holy Week and helps us experience not just what Jesus did… but His heart for us in it all.

Since we missed Monday, here’s where the week begins:

Monday — Jesus clears the temple

He drives out what harms the poor
and makes space for those seeking God.

What looks like anger
is actually fierce compassion.

Jesus isn’t pushing people away—
He’s removing what stands in the way
of mercy.

What needs clearing in me?

He still makes space for you.

We’ll keep walking through Holy Week together—
one day at a time.

A lot can happen in seven days.
And this week changes everything.

Today we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday—
celebrating baptisms and baby dedications,
a reminder that Jesus is still bringing new life.

This week, we walk with Him:
from celebration…
to the cross…
through the silence…
and into resurrection.

If you’ve been feeling weary, uncertain, or just curious—
this story is for you.

Join us this week:

🌿 Palm Sunday — Sunday, March 29
10:00 AM | The Chapel (3200 Santo Rd)

✝️ Good Friday — Friday, April 3
6:00–8:00 PM | The Chapel

🕊️ Saturday — April 4
Take time to pause, reflect, and be with Jesus

🌅 Easter Sunday — Sunday, April 5
10:00 AM | The Chapel

Stay after for an Easter celebration—
egg hunt, obstacle bounce house, and a 360 photo booth 🎉

You don’t have to have it all together.
Just come.
There is hope here.

We’ve been selected to partner with Awana Brite in a special survey, recognizing our ongoing commitment to helping kids grow in God’s Word.

We’d love for you to take a few minutes to share your experience. Your voice helps shape how we disciple our children with greater care and intention.

As a thank you:
• If we reach 20+ completed surveys, our church will be entered to win a $500 gift card
• Five parents will also be randomly selected to receive Awana Brite Owala water bottles

Family Sunday | March 29th @ 10:00 am | The Chapel

March 29th is Family Sunday, and we’ll be celebrating baptisms and child dedications. Outward signs of God’s grace at work in our community.

Come ready to worship, celebrate new life in Christ, and cheer on families as they publicly commit to raising their children to know and love Jesus.

And yes, we’ll have donuts and pastries after to keep the celebration going.

Youth | Seeing Jesus Together

Your middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited!

We’ll seek to grow in faith together, learning:

1. How to see the Gospel through any Bible passage
2. How to use the SJT journal in solitude
3. How to lead others

Contact Darrell Carbajal to learn more.

Our next session is Sunday March 29th @ 9:00 am. The Small Chapel (instead of having an April Session on Easter Sunday)

Plant bingo + community. 🌿

So much laughter tonight at our Better Together gathering. A few plants were stolen, some friendships grew, and we were reminded again how good it is to simply be together.

Mark 2 reminds me how much we need each other.

Sometimes the obstacle isn’t sin first —
it’s a crowd.

Sometimes healing comes
because friends refuse to quit.

Sometimes Jesus heals deeper
than we expected.

And sometimes the greatest miracle
is becoming the one who walks free
from what once defined you.

Let’s be roof-ripping friends.
Let’s make space when crowds block the door.
Let’s trust Jesus with the deeper fracture.

He still moves obstacles. 🤍

💔 Our lives will never be the same without Jesse.
His laughter, his presence, his very light — it leaves a space nothing else can fill. Yet in our grief, we don’t walk alone. We cling to Jesus, who is near to the brokenhearted, and we hold each other close.

We’ve gathered words of encouragement, Scriptures to rest in, practical resources, and ways to support Jesse’s family on a page we hope will be a lantern of comfort in this valley.

🌿 Find it through the link in our bio.

May we carry Jesse’s light forward, together.
