Today will be our second week in a four-week series on what we can learn from scripture about the nature and purpose of the church. The Bible doesn't provide a single definition, but, instead, gives us a number of provocative images to consider. Our focus this week will be on the church as "the body of Christ" (I Corinthians 12:12-31). If we have time, we will also discuss what it means for Christian community to be "salt" and "light."
