It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of our mother, Sallie Tod Parson Haywood, who was set free from her body on January 16th, 2025, near her home in Delray Beach, Florida. It is an incredible grief, matched only by the gratitude for the beauty, generosity, and joy she brought to this world.

We invite you to her memorial site to read about the life of this phenomenal woman, mother, healer, and gardener extraordinaire. The memorial also includes photos commemorating her remarkable journey, a guestbook, and information about her upcoming memorial service and how you can celebrate her passion by donating to The Nature Conservancy. We ask everyone to add their own photos of Sallie to the guestbook to create a beautiful patchwork quilt of her life for us all to enjoy.

We ask that you respect our time of grief. Though we welcome your love notes and phone calls, please understand the space we may take for ourselves as we navigate this painful time.

We look forward to turning our grief into a celebration of her life this summer in Maine with laughter, stories, and love.

I am so touched… we have 30 beautiful souls participating in our 40 Days of Prayer practice. 🥰 And it’s not too late for you to join us! This is a donation based offering from our heart to yours. So why not jump in?!

This is a practice my grandmother used to do for her clients. She would write their name and prayer on the back of their photo and place it in a jar of blessed oil. Then for 40 days, she would pray over them. Every day, she would do this practice for hundreds of souls. It was incredible the openings that would come for recipients… often receiving far more than what they had intended for themselves and in ways they hadn’t conceived.

It is truly a potent practice. And this round will be amplified by the hearts of my healing apprentices who will be holding vigil with me AND I will be carrying a bit of the blessed oil (along with your prayers) in my medicine bag as I journey through Teotihuacan and Tolantongo Springs in April!

To hold space for another— it is to be a guardian… a silent witness… a soft place to land, or a permission to fly further. It is to meet the call of Love’s beckoning and become its fluid container, softly holding the unfolding flow of the river’s perfect passage.

Though we don’t use plant medicine on these journeys, the passage is just as profound. Purging and disorientation can happen as you shift your spiritual altitude, and it is helpful to have dedicated space holders to tend to your body while you fly… to be the gentle reminder of your human’s needs and the assurance of an earth to come home to. For it allows all of us to dive into the vulnerable openings and intimate expansions of Teo’s magic. We can let our guard down because they are there, at the temple door (literally and figuratively), holding guard for us.
