Welcome to DAY 21 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for YOUR FAMILY.
The family that God gave you, (good, bad and ugly), are a specific and sovereignly ordained group of people in your life. Not all "family" is biological, so who are those people God has called you to live with, love, honor, serve, and be committed to?

Please pray:
For your parents who are still living, or those who are like mothers and fathers to you, that God would show you how to honor and serve them.
For your siblings, cousins, and roommates, or those who are like those people in your life, that you would have opportunities to point them toward Christ in winsome and compelling ways.
For your children (biological, spiritual, or chosen), that God would equip you to train them to know, trust, and follow Jesus.
For any broken relationships you have, that God would bring healing.
For God's comfort and healing in your grief, as you grieve lost parents, family members, broken relationships, or unfulfilled dreams.
We're so glad you took the 21 Day Prayer Challenge, and trust that the Lord has used it in your life to draw you closer to him, and for the good of his kingdom. Let's do it again next year, January 2027! Until then, keep growing in the habits and rhythms of prayer you've experienced, and build on them!

Welcome to DAY 20 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for the SUNDAY MORNING Gatherings at Mission Trails Church.
Our Sunday morning gatherings are not the only important thing we do, but they are the hub, that all the moving parts spoke out from... the heart that all the blood pumps through. This important gathering needs our prayerful reflection, commitment, and covering.

Please pray:
That the gospel would be presented clearly in all we do, and that 50 people would place their trust in Jesus Christ as savior this year.
That we would each employ our spiritual gifts and God-given talents in the service of one another.
For those who have been at MTC for a long time to regularly think about those who are new (to the church or to Jesus), and reach out to them.
That our worship would be in spirit and in truth. That our teaching would be grounded in scripture alone. That our fellowship and connections would be life-giving and encouraging.
That God would grow our church for his glory, and for the good of those that need the gospel and a church family... not just for the sake of some numbers goal we might chase.

Welcome to DAY 19 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for Kids Ministry:

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
The opportunity to teach the next generation how to serve, love and live for Jesus is a great privilege and a great responsibility. It's important to invite, welcome and partake in the work of the Gospel with these young children. Why? Because Jesus said so! He cares and knows each child- in Jeremiah it tells us that before we were formed in the womb, He knew us! (Jeremiah 1:5) That's why we believe every classroom - babies to upper elementary - is important. No matter the current season of your life, may we look at the children of our church through the lens of Jesus-let us make a way for them to come and know Jesus!

Please pray:
That the Word of God would dwell richly in these young hearts; and the Gospel would be deeply rooted, watered and pruned even in these early years!
For each person and family currently serving in kid's ministry- that the Lord would bless them and fill them with His love as they pour into these young lives!
That the Lord would provide more volunteers for our ever growing church and kid's ministry! The harvest is plentiful!
For this next generation to have a desire to earnestly seek and serve the Lord-and that we as a church assist that growth through reading of the Word, memorizing scripture, and fellowship with other like minded believers
For God to open doors to share the gospel to our neighborhood through events and camps hosted through kids ministry

Welcome to DAY 18 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for the MARRIAGES at Mission Trails Church.
Marriage is one of God's gifts of grace, and is part of his plan to reflect his glory to others, and fill the earth with people who love and trust him. Christian Marriage is designed for each person to be shaped more into the likeness and character of Jesus Christ. It's a picture of both the sacrificial love of Jesus, and Jesus' joyful trust of the Father. But marriage is hard, because the two people married sin against one another! And marriage is hard because many things in the world conspire to make it about something other than Christ, which degrades commitment, faithfulness, love, affection, parenting, mission and more. So, the point is, if you're married, you need Jesus!

Please pray:
For those who are married to work at growing together in Christ in their relationship.
For each person in the marriages at MTC to grow as a disciple, taking personal responsibility for their faith and growth.
For these marriages to be protected from discouragement, selfishness, infidelity, po*******hy, cold-shouldering, distraction, and divorce.
That these marriages would be a living parable of the good news gospel of Jesus Christ's love and forgiveness to their kids, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and more.
That each marriage would grow in love, romance, intimacy, fun, joy, intentionality, pursuit, depth, richness and Christian mission in 2026.

Welcome to DAY 17 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for the SINGLE MEN & WOMEN at Mission Trails Church.
Many single men and women can feel like second class members of the Body of Christ in a local church. But God doesn't see them that way. Every member of the church is needed, whether married or single, young or old, man or woman.

Please pray:
For those who are single by choice, that their life in Christ, in the church, and in their work would be fulfilling and rich.
For those who are single and wish to be otherwise, that God would sustain them, and grant them the secret of contentment (Philippians 4), even if it's only for a season.
For those who are single, and recovering from a broken relationship or marriage, that God would bring spiritual and emotional healing, as well as new companionship and friendship.
For our church to celebrate and honor the people, lives, gifts and callings of the single women and men in our church family.
For the Lord to bring marriage where it is desired, and deep friendship where it is not.

Welcome to DAY 16 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for the LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY at Mission Trails Church.
The Leadership Community is the leadership group made up of Staff, Elders, and Deacons. The deacons at Mission Trails Church are the Community Group Leaders and Ministry Team leaders, who lead out in so much of the important work of our ministry.

Please pray:
That each of these men and women would grow more in Christlikeness and grace this year.
That we would lead with the goals and interests of others in mind, and not our own.
That God would protect our walk with him, and our families.
That we would lead our church toward MAKING, MATURING, and MULTIPLYING disciples of Jesus Christ.
That we would embody the servant leadership of Jesus in our lives and roles.

Welcome to DAY 15 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for JUSTICE & MERCY FOR THE OPPRESSED.
The God of the Bible is perfect in holiness, goodness, righteousness, wisdom and justice.
In his mercy, sometimes he delays his justice. That's good news for us who deserve just judgment... but it's hard to see that when we desperately want justice for other people. God has always commanded his people to be like him: living righteous lives that honor him, working for righteousness and justice where we live, and protecting the weak, vulnerable, innocent, abused and foreigner. There are countless things we can think about in our world right now that need God's justice and protection. So, pick a few, and pray for them.

Please pray:
For someone you know who is experiencing an unjust, discriminatory, harassing or dangerous situation. Ask God for His protection and intervention.
That God would show you how he wants you to be an agent of his righteousness, justice, goodness, and love in the spheres of influence that you touch.
That God's values and justice would transform the many polarized and broken relationships and social structures in our own country.
For Christian organizations and Christian churches to know good, healthy, productive, courageous ways to be agents of God's goodness.
For the city of San Diego to experience God's shalom - God's peace and flourishing at every level.

Welcome to DAY 14 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for the CHALLENGE COLLEGE MINISTRY.
The Challenge College Ministry is a ministry focused on sharing the gospel of Jesus with students at San Diego State University, and discipling them to grow in Christ and multiply their faith.

Please pray:
For the Holy Spirit to draw students to God, through repentance and faith.
The growing work of God the ministry is seeing at the beginning of this semester: students coming to faith, partnership between campus ministries, greater prayer focus, God's power changing lives!
For the Ministry Staff (Kevin Thorsell and family, and Petrina Tran) and their Core Team of student leaders.
For the new Bible study being started among SDSU students.
For God to use this ministry to lead many students to faith in Christ this year, and to disciple dozens more.
That these students would connect easily and meaningfully at Mission Trails Church.

Welcome to DAY 13 of our 21 Days of Prayer.

Today we are praying for STREETS OF HOPE / VON & ON.
These two ministries are important to our church family, near to our hearts, and near to our homes.

Streets of Hope (https://www.streetsofhopesandiego.org) serves our unhoused neighbors downtown every Monday night with meals, conversation, prayer, and connections to resources and services.

Von & On (https://vonandon.com) exists to show care and compassion and advocate for the poor in Tijuana. The ministry leaders do this through meeting physical and spiritual needs in a variety of ways, including skill training, food and clothing, kids bible clubs, and caring for people through crisis, illness or accident.

Please pray:
For God to give wisdom and courage to the leaders and volunteers in these ministries.
For perseverance in their work as ongoing ministry to the poor has its own consistent challenges.
For each ministry to strengthen relationships and partnerships with local groups and organizations that can provide ongoing care and services for the impoverished men, women and children they serve.
For God's protection over the leaders, volunteers, and those they serve.
For the poor and unhoused in San Diego and Tijuana who are dealing with the aftermath of rain and flooding from last weekend's storm.
For Streets of Hope and Von & On to be able to connect people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
