This is not how it should be…
We are grieving the violence of our city today. We feel numb, struck by the senseless actions of violence against our neighbors.
There are times when we don’t know how to respond or what to do next. There are no words, so last night we gathered together to seek the peace of our city in prayer.
We pray for the victims families who lost dear loved ones. Lord hear our prayer.
We pray for the mosque, their leadership, and congregants. Lord hear our prayer.
We pray for the first responders and their experience of chaos and the horror of violence. Lord hear our prayer.
We pray for everyone evacuated and the children who experienced trauma. Lord hear our prayer.
We pray for the families of the shooters who were frantically looking for their teenagers. Lord hear our prayer.
