New Life Assembly, church of San Diego: With a very heavy but grateful heart I want to say to you, thank you for the honor and privilege of allowing me to serve as your pastor for 29 years. The ups and downs, the good and the bad, the happy and sad moments will stay with me for a lifetime. We walked through ministry together from all the VBS's, Sunday School, choir practices, Christmas dramas, Easter plays, Harvest Festivals, Wednesday Family Nights, youth group, Royal Rangers, Missionettes, worship rehearsals (past and present), picnics, baptisms, child dedications, marriages, funerals, prayer meetings, and audio tech teams.
We enter this new year with a feeling of hope and that in all things "God has a plan". The Scriptures remind us that "For everything thing there is a season". This is the season for change. Every person who has crossed the church threshold has touched me and my family's heart profoundly and will remain there for a lifetime.
I have announced, not my retirement, but my stepping down from ministry in order for another to take the reigns to move New Life forward. My last service will be Sunday morning, January 4th, 2026. I love you all. God has plan!
