Standin' in the Need of Prayer is an African American Spiritual, and no one's really sure exactly when or where it was composed (this is true with a lot of folk songs), but it wasn't widely published until 1925. Our SCUMC musicians did a great job bringing it to life this week with some lively jazz instrumentation!
