Join us on our Feast Day, Sunday, SEPTEMBER 27th at 2:00 PM, as we pray, walk, and stand together in solidarity, putting our faith into action through compassion, unity, and accompaniment. The event will take place at Balboa Park, at 6th Ave. and Laurel St. in San Diego, CA.
This event is an interreligious procession honoring the dignity and sacredness of migrants and refugees. As people of faith, we are called to accompany our brothers and sisters who have experienced war, persecution, hardship, and displacement.
“As shepherd of this Diocese here at the border, I have been feeling an increased urgency to call people of faith around values that unite us: all human beings are sacred, no matter where we are born, or where we now live. Too often we let politics divide us and take away our faith-inspired values and our voice. I invite you to walk with me behind a banner that will read something we all know to be true: ‘All are Sacred’.
