What would you do in the event of a draft? If you think you may want to apply for Conscientious Objector status, you will need documentation showing your beliefs over time. We recommend starting at age 14 to record your beliefs, but it is never too early -- or too late -- to begin.
Create a digital or physical archive where you gather all materials. Share this with at least one other person or group, such as with your Quaker meeting. In your archive, write down entries about your beliefs, the influences that affect you, and how your values run against participation in war. When you attend nonviolence workshops or events, take photos that document your participation. (Be sure to ask consent from anyone photographed in the background.) And share your convictions with others, either formally or informally.
