Let us walk together in prayer, solidarity, and hope, recognizing that every person is sacred and every human life is worthy of dignity, welcome, and love.

In 2016, the Diocese of San Diego held the Synod on the Family. From the resolutions of the Synod, the Office for Family Life & Spirituality was reborn.

Today, we got to share the fruits of this journey (in areas as diverse as marriage prep, mental health, divorces d& separated ministry and so much more) with Sr. Nathalie Becquart, XMCJ, the Undersecretary of the General Secretariat of the Synod of the Bishops at the Vatican. What a joy! What a journey with the Holy Spirit!🔥🕊️

"Sally was widowed for three years prior to her marriage to Sam. She has a 10-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son from her first marriage. While the initial phase of dating, courtship, engagement, and early marriage went well, there is a lot of competition among the children today. Sam and Sally often feel frustrated with the behavior of their respective children. This has caused tension between the couple and resentment towards the children. They both want this marriage to work well."

At Adoration on Saturday night, Fr. Azam reminded us that we should cry in front of Jesus.

If you know, you know…even if you prefer not to.

If you have experienced the wounds of parental divorce, separation or a high conflict upbringing, it is not just about our childhoods. These realities have a way of reasserting themselves at holidays, milestones and new life stages and transitions.

Healing for [now] Adult Children of Divorce or Separation] Adult Children of Divorce or Separation gives us a voice to our pain and struggle. This ministry equips us to seek and find the transformative healing through community, the gifts of the Church and ultimately through Christ.

Please pray for the continued healing of those whom attended our retreat from the Diocese of San Diego, Diocese of Orange and the Diocese of Phoenix.🙏🏽
