Started in 1998 by Pastors Jerry & Tami McKinney and their three boys, it quickly grew to an influential church who are reshaping the culture of San Diego. o see that fulfillment in others. With hundreds in their weekly high school and college campus ministries, some of the largest youth & young adult ministries in the area, influencing multiple campuses across San Diego and the neighboring areas. Additionally, the accredited part time Bible College radically transforms each of the 30+ annual students to live out a confident, unshakeable faith in Christ that will reconcile their generation to Jesus. The Church’s influence goes far beyond the walls of the church. With Pastor Jerry’s apostolic oversight, the Church reaches 100+ pastors every month in Tijuana, Mexico and has planted four vibrant churches that are flourishing in Northern Baja. The history of the church started with the word God spoke to Senior Pastors Jerry & Tami McKinney. At 17, Pastor Jerry felt called to ministry while attending his family church in Florida. From there, he pursued a BA in religion from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, Florida before moving to Portland, Oregon. In Portland he met and married Pastor Tami who had earned a BA in Physical Education. Together they served 20 years at City Bible Temple (now City Bible Church) before moving to help plant The City Church, Seattle. After five years, they were sent with blessings by Pastor Wendell & Gini Smith to pioneer their first church plant. Since arriving in San Diego, Pastors Jerry & Tami have seen powerful breakthroughs, hundreds of salvations, and lasting fruit through their dynamic ministry.
