Urgent Prayer Request for Nepal and the United Methodist Church - Nepal
4.4 Earthquake and several flash floods caused mudslides that wiped out many small villages on the Nepal-Tibet border. At least 400 souls are missing - locals and tourists included - and the death toll continues to climb while heroic efforts persist.
Lord Jesus, we cry out in pain for our brothers and sisters witnessing loss of life and community. Oh Lord, we anguish with them as they have worked mightily rebuilding their villages after devastating events recently. We praise God for UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief and their love, care and ability to show compassion to those in dire need of your people. We give thanks for the UMC-Nepal and your children bringing hope and souls to Christ.
Please keep all the first responders safe and healthy, please keep them out of harm’s way, and meet their physical and mental needs. Let there be an immediate outpouring of love and assistance in all ways imaginable.
Lord, in your mercy and grace, hear our prayers.
