Florence is thrilled to work with Catalyst Dance Ensemble. She graduated from UCLA with a major in Sociology and minor in Chinese. She’s trained with Culture Shock San Diego, Malashock Dance, San Diego Civic Dance Arts, San Diego Mesa College, and others. Florence loves dance as it continuously challenges her to grow as well as reminds her that gifts are meant to glorify Him. Other interests including aerial, gymnastics, piano, singing, and theater. Past theater productions include: Les Miserables, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ragtime, and The Wild Party. Many thanks to her friends & family for their support. “Dance like nobody's watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, & live like there's no tomorrow."

Meet one of our dancers: Katia Beltran!

For Katia Beltran, dance is a rhythmic evolution rather than a linear path. Her formal journey began at 17 with the Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater, where she developed a sophisticated foundation in contemporary technique. By blending the technical rigor of modern dance with the energy of hip hop and the storytelling of musical theater, Katia cultivated a versatile, performance-first mindset.

Her artistry further matured during her collegiate studies at Southwestern College, where she refined her choreography and collaborative skills. After a period dedicated to entrepreneurship and family, Katia has made a powerful homecoming to the craft.

Today, she balances her multifaceted life by performing with Catalyst Dance Ensemble and participating in high-impact flashmobs. This current chapter reflects a mature artist who views movement as a grounding force, utilizing her diverse background to create joy and foster community connection.
