This Friday, June 12 is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus 💗. On Thursday, June 11, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This will take place during the Plenary Assembly of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in Orlando, Florida.

Starting on Wednesday, June 10, we are asking you to join us in three days of prayer invoking the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Please submit your personal intentions to be included in three Holy Masses, from June 10 – June 12, (which includes the Consecration of the US Bishops to the Sacred Heart and the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus).

Last year on the Solemnity, our Shepherd, Cardinal Burke spoke on finding intimacy in the pierced heart of Christ:

“When we contemplate the glorious, pierced heart of Jesus, the wound which opened His sacred side and pierced His Sacred Heart, we know that the all-merciful love of God for us is not some general and abstract gift. No, it is the most personal and intimate invitation to live in communion with Him always.”

“Placing our hearts into the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are necessarily engaged in His kingly mission in which to serve is to reign. Christ the King is to reign in our hearts.”

🙏❤️ Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on Us ❤️🙏

Today we turn our hearts to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the perfect symbol of His infinite love, mercy, and compassion for all people.

No matter what burdens you carry, what worries weigh on your mind, or what challenges you face, Christ's heart remains open to you. He invites us to trust in His love and find peace in His presence.

"Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world."

Take a moment today to offer this simple prayer and entrust your intentions to Him.

Photos and Highlights of Cardinal Burke’s Homily from the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Yesterday, our Shepherd Raymond Cardinal Burke offered the Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass for the intentions of the Rosary Warriors, as well as all the intentions that were submitted.

The Traditional Latin Mass on the feast of St. Angela Merici, who founded the Ursulines in 1535, was offered at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The traditional liturgical calendar sometimes has different dates for feast days.

At the beginning of the homily, His Eminence greeted and thanked the Rosary Warriors of Operation Storm Heaven “for embracing the situation of our world and of the Church in a very loving way by praying faithfully the Holy Rosary. This powerful prayer by which our Lady obtains for us so many graces to live faithfully in Christ, in the world, and in the Church.”

Cardinal Burke asked us to reflect on three central aspects of our faith.

Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

“Number one is the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We begin the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and all of us want, during this month, to give our hearts more completely to our Lord, to unite our hearts more perfectly to His most Sacred Heart, in imitation and with the help of the Blessed Virgin, her Immaculate Heart, and under the protection of St. Joseph, his most pure heart.”

Reflecting on St. Angela Merici and the Blessing of Religious Sisters.

“Secondly, today we reflect in a particular way upon one of the great saints of the Church, St. Angela Merici, the foundress of the Ursuline Sisters. We ask in a particular way that all communities of women who imitate the virginity of the Heart of Jesus, the fidelity, generosity, and purity of His heart, by giving themselves completely to Him as His brides, that they may be blessed. That they may, by the witness of their lives and by their apostolates, bring great good to the whole Church and, therefore, to our world.”

Virginity in the Church, a Great Treasure - St. Paul, God’s Holy Jealousy, and the Call to Complete Love.

“The third reality is virginity itself. St. Paul, in the first reading today, tells about his jealousy for the Church, which was God's own jealousy, His jealousy for our love. That He wants us to love Him with all our hearts, and that we might be with Him forever in heaven, that we might be saved from all sin, repentant of our sins, and also grow in the practice of the virtues, in the imitation of the saints, our Blessed Mother, and in oneness of heart with Him.

And so, virginity in the Church is a great treasure, which is for all of us, no matter what our vocation in life may be. It is not only a witness to us but also an inspiration to us to be ever more faithful, ever more generous, ever purer in our love of God, in accord with the call that He has given to each of us.

And that we can obtain that grace in a very particular way through the praying of the Holy Rosary, drawing nearer with Our Lady to the mysteries of our faith, so that we might live those mysteries in our daily lives, as we say in the prayer at the conclusion of the Rosary, to obtain what they contain.

Let us then now, as we are about to have our Lord descend to the altar to make new for us sacramentally, sacrificially, Calvary, let us open our hearts, letting His grace dispel all darkness, and at the same time, animate our hearts with His love.”
