The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus will be observed on Friday, June 12.

What is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart?
The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is a liturgical celebration that invites us to reflect on the depth of Christ’s love for us, as symbolized by his heart.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “Jesus knew and loved us each and all during his life, his agony and his Passion, and gave himself up for each one of us” (Paragraph 478).

At that time Jesus exclaimed:
"I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to little ones.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Matthew 11:25-30

Mateo 11, 25-30

We invite you to pray to Saint Michael the Archangel with us,

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan
and all evil spirits who wander
through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
