Earth Day 2024! Over the last year it has brought me great joy to have been drawn into God's creation by the simple practice of noticing. I have taken close to 300 pictures of things that have made me stop and say, "Wow." Thought I would share a few of my fav's on this Earth Day!

Well, it has been a minute since I have posted! This spring I wrote the following article on resentment - one of my invisible friends. I thought resentment was something that gives me power but I have come to realize that it only hardens my heart. Can you relate?

God’s love is available to us. Right now. Today. But there is nothing we can do to make it show up - our job is just to be on the lookout! Although this article was written with moms and kids in mind, perhaps it could help you re-imagine God's love in a fresh way for yourself today!

What is God forming in you?

This morning I felt a nudge to put my feet up for a moment while the house was quiet and put pen to paper. Lately my inner world has been reflecting on how I want to be spending my time and what matters to me in this season.

As I turned towards reflecting about my life with God I was blank.

I thought, “Well, I will put this down to talk with my spiritual director the next time we meet."

Then I sat in the blankness a little while longer and the classic spiritual formation question (that I have asked many others) popped up for me: What is God forming in you Lins?

Hmm….not sure.

[crickets]

[crickets]

[crickets]

[crickets]

And then something surfaced:

“LOVE. God is expanding love in you.”

The content both surprised me and resonated deeply.

Grateful for spiritual vision that can surface when we take a moment to ask the questions!

Have felt like I have been behind the speedboat of life recently 😩. Almost a year ago some friends gave Scott and me gift certificates for a “Quiet Day” at Mission San Luis Rey so I finally put it on the calendar for us. Never easy to get away but grateful for the quiet, beauty and grace received.
