VitalChurch is made up of a team of pastors who are called to the unique ministry of helping churches through times of transition or crisis. We do this through a proven, biblically-based, three-step process, with the goal of bringing about real and lasting change in every church we serve.

Nothing better than reconnecting with churches we’ve walked alongside. Our Executive Director, Garry Abbott, recently had the chance to visit one of our partner churches and catch up with the pastor and a longtime friend, a meaningful reminder that the work of renewal is built on relationships that continue long after the season of transition.

Lord, we thank You for the men and women who have sacrificed their freedom—and even their lives—to secure ours.

We are grateful for the legacy of courage passed down through generations: grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters who have served with honor.

As we remember those who gave their lives in defense of our freedom, we lift up those who are currently serving—especially those in harm’s way. Lord, bless them, protect them, and remind them that they are deeply loved by You.

Help us to support them well here at home by pursuing the kind of community and justice we are called to build—freely, because of their sacrifice. Bless them, bless their families, sustain them.

Comfort those who mourn today. We remember with gratitude those who, when given the choice, gave everything for others.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Renewal is not just measured in numbers, but in stories of clarity, purpose, and hope.

CrossPoint Church experienced renewed vision, stronger leadership, and deeper discipleship through a season of intentional reflection and guidance with VitalChurch Ministry.

We’re in the final days of the Living Hope Campaign.

Because Jesus is alive, hope is alive—and churches facing transition and uncertainty do not have to walk alone.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, shared, and supported this campaign.

There’s still time to help bring clarity, purpose, and living hope to churches in need.

God is at work bringing clarity, purpose, and hope. This weekend our team walked a church in Florida through a diagnostic assessment report which offered them both a mirror into their current reality and a map through their season of transition in the form of a set of recommendations.

A simple reminder this week: God is still at work.

Even in seasons of transition and uncertainty, we are seeing churches rediscover clarity, unity, and purpose.

Because Jesus is alive, hope is never finished.

There is still time to be part of bringing that hope to churches in need.

Meet the Team Tuesday!

This week we’re introducing Bess Maketasnky, our Assistant Diagnostic Analyst! Bess works in our diagnostic division.

- Time with VitalChurch Ministry: 8 months
- What you love about this ministry: II love that this ministry allows me to help advance and grow the Church. To be able to have a job with such a great purpose is really awesome!
- What God is doing that excites you right now: I’m honestly just excited about where God has me in my life right now. I spent many years unable to work due to my health, so to have a job at all is something I thought might not be part of God’s plan for me, and now I get to work one that I love. God has brought me so far and I’m excited to see what he has for me in the future.
- Fun fact about you: I have 2 dogs, Burberry (pictured) and Chanel; I love quilting, reading, coffee, and football (Go Pats!), Oh, and I am a giant Taylor Swift fan!

We’re grateful for Bess and the way she faithfully serves God through VitalChurch Ministry and her role in helping bring clarity, purpose, and renewed hope to the local church.

Meet the Team Tuesday!
This week we’re introducing Matt Coyne, one of our newest team members! Matt is our Rural Church Revitalization Consultant as well as a pastor, serving a church in North Carolina.

Time with VitalChurch Ministry: 3 Months

What you love about this ministry: I love that VitalChurch Ministry gets to the "taproot" issue of churches in transition and revitalization. So often, churches focus on surface-level issues that do not lead to true renewal and reconciliation. This ministry is willing to do the hard work, and I am honored and blessed to be part of the team!

What God is doing that excites you right now: God is breathing new life into dying churches! It is a blessing and honor to journey alongside churches in a season of transition and/or revitalization. I believe one of the greatest testimonies to God's sovereignty is how He can refocus a church to once again see its Kingdom purpose.

Fun Fact: This past summer, our family went on a 2-week National Parks Tour. We visited 14 states, 10 National Parks, and 2 National Monuments. The "Coyne Top 3" are Grand Teton, Zion, and Badlands National Parks.

We’re grateful for Matt and the way he faithfully serves God through VitalChurch Ministry and his role in helping bring clarity, purpose, and renewed hope to the local church.
