STATEMENT OF FAITH
The inspiration of the Bible
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings. The nature of God
We believe there is one God, revealed in scripture as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The deity of Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, eternally existent, complete in His humani
ty, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an innocent death, physically rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of God the Father and will return in power and glory. The work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is gifted for effective ministry and empowered for godly living. The fallen state of Mankind
We believe mankind was originally created by God in His own image and likeness but all mankind have sinned and therefore all are in need of salvation. This is a work of God’s Spirit in the heart and mind of individuals. Repentance and faith in the substitutionary and atoning death of Jesus Christ are the prerequisites of true conversion. The unity of the Church
We believe that all who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are united with Him into one Body, the Church. All believers are responsible to maintain this unity by loving one another. The practice of Ordinances
We believe scripture commands followers of Christ to observe two primary ceremonies, (neither of which are essential for salvation): water baptism following conversion, which signifies the believer’s death, burial and resurrection into a new life in the Spirit; and the regular celebration of the Lord’s Supper, which reminds the worshiper of the broken body and shed blood of our Lord. The expectation of Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the believing and unbelieving; the believing to the resurrection of eternal life with Jesus Christ, and the unbelieving to the resurrection of eternal separation from God.
