For Valentine's Day this year, the kids did a special service activity, passing out rice pudding to people at Santa Bárbara Hospital. We hope to make this a monthly activity to live out Acts 20:35: "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Did you know in Honduras, only 3% of high school graduates go on to university? So this year, we're starting a university scholarship program! As more of our students graduate, we want to support their efforts to pursue higher education and gain vocational skills.

The first two youths joining our program are Marcela and Eder! 🎉Marcela is pursuing dentistry and Eder is pursuing engineering. They will begin their studies in a few weeks.

Congratulations Marcela, Eder - we can't wait to see what you accomplish!

Happy New Year! 2026 is off to a running start, with our upcoming ESL camp in South Korea. Our team leaves this coming Thursday for two weeks!

Would you consider supporting one of our volunteers? Thabiso Thoka has helped with the Advanced ESL Classes for the last two years, and is easily one of the kids' favorite teachers. He is from South Africa, and brings a genuine warmth and care that has become invaluable to our team and partners. Recently he encouraged our team with this reminder, “The challenges that come up [on the missions trip] are equal to the lessons that you need to learn."

Thabiso needs to raise $750 this week. If you could help Thabiso, not only are you helping send a volunteer from South Africa to South Korea, but that donation multiplies to help the children in Honduras. Language (in this case, English) has an amazing capacity to unite us all, and this is an opportunity to make a truly multi-cultural donation!

Our hearts are warm from seeing the kids' smiles and laughter this holiday season! Here are a few glimpses of the Christmas Dinner at Santa Rosita Garden earlier this month. In addition to celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, we also recognized the kids' academic excellence and the staff's commitment and dedication.

This week, we worked with the kids on the value of tolerance. Here they're learning that listening with love and attention is part of respect and tolerance. 👂🏼
