The Sankofa Kids Youth Program is an independent, community-funded (non-government), objective committed to providing a learning environment that is conducive to the mental, emotional, and physical development of Black children.
This program provides Our children with a Knowledge of Self through an understanding of their history and culture in order to instill pride and respect for the Black race and all other peoples of the African Diaspora.
We aim to reverse the mis-education of our youth by providing them with factual information, productive activities, and challenging them to think and analyze information from an African-centered perspective.
Here at the Sankofa Unity Center we understand that it takes strong, proud and productive children to generate strong, proud and productive communities.
