Located in one of America's poorest urban communities, CCLM brings a broad range of services to address issues of health, housing and education. While having a heart for the most vulnerable and underserved populations - youth at risk, HIV+ and homeless, and homeless men - our programs serve adults, youth and children throughout the neighborhood.

🚨𝘽𝙄𝙂 𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎! Governor Gavin Newsom and San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran just unveiled via a press conference a $192 million grant initiative to address homelessness, with San Bernardino securing $4.6 million to assist its substantial homeless population. This effort is part of the broader Homekey program, designed to compassionately clean up homeless encampments and transition over 3,600 individuals into permanent housing across the state.

Notably, San Bernardino has the largest homeless population in the county, with over 1,000 individuals documented in the 2023 Point-In-Time count. 🏠💪 For a deeper dive into the specifics and how this will benefit our communities, read the full article at iecn.com.

Lutheran Social Services and the City of San Bernardino Awarded $35 million Homekey Grant - Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC) – a leading provider of social services programs in Southern California – in partnership with the city of San Bernardino will receive a $35 Million Homekey grant to build a comprehensive facility for individuals experiencing homelessness, low-income population and those with complex health and social service needs.

“We are so grateful to the City of San Bernardino and Dignity Moves, who are true partners with whom we are blessed to share this transformative journey. This coalition amplifies our impact, allowing us to address the pressing need for interim housing in the area. Together, we will create a haven for those facing the harsh realities of homelessness, embodying our mission to uplift and support our community,”
said Dr. LaSharnda Beckwith, President and Chief Executive Officer, LSSSC.

Licensed in six counties, including San Bernardino, Lutheran Social Services of Southern California provides local programs, case management, and initiatives including homelessness.
