⁃ 1. there's no better feeling than feeling like you're in, feeling like you're wanted and accepted
⁃ we're people that need other people in our lives
⁃ but we all know what it's like to feel like we don't belong (when we don't get invited to the dance or make the sports team)
⁃ 2. the feeling of being left out hurts
⁃ it's probably the worst feeling you'll ever feel in life
⁃ • It's even harder to feel like you're outside of God's acceptance •
⁃ sometimes our sin, we choose to do it, sometimes it just happens
⁃ Sin does two things
0. It pulls us away from God's plan for us (it creates distance)
0. It separates you from God (it separates us from God)
0. Jesus says, "Follow me."
◦ He isn't going anywhere
◦ He isn't leaving you
◦ He says, "Come to me, and let's keep walking."

Hebrews 10:19-22
Your sin shouldn't separate you from God.
Jesus gave you all access when he died and rose again.
He gives you peace, love, and acceptance.
He accepts you and loves you completely.

Since you have all access to God, what are you going to do about it?

For any one who missed it here is what we learned
Rev-X Lesson 3.29.2017
-- STRENGTH IN NUMBERS --
Tonight we continued our series, Strength in Numbers. Basically what this means is that a group of people have more power than just one. We decide things based on the approval of others such as friends. Friendships matter in life because they have the power to distract you from your goals, or to push to further to them. Proverbs 12:26 says, "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray," and there are ways to determine a positive friendship. A few question to ask are: Do they help you be real? Do they give as much as they take? Do they treat you the way you want to be treated? Do they gossip about you or others behind closed doors? Do they celebrate your accomplishments and value your goals?

This week we are starting a new series called "Strength in numbers"
All about the fact we are not meant to go through life alone.
Have you ever noticed with the younger kids in your family, school or church, that they sometimes think they know more than you? Or a friend that thinks they know everything and then when they're proved wrong they have some lame excuse? Or just anyone who has to always be right? Well we all have times in our life where we think we know everything. But the truth is we can't know everything and that's ok. But there is wisdom in admitting that we don't know everything. In Proverbs 12:15, it says "Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others". Most things you know right now, you learned from someone. We all need someone in our life that's a step ahead that will mentor us in life. Yes it's good to have friends your age, but make sure you find someone with a little more experience, so that you know they have been there and can help. So look for someone wise. We need someone to tell us the truth also, even when it's not something we want to hear, someone who will encourage you and keep you accountable, and you need to give them permission to. So that they can help remind you that maybe you shouldn't go to that party, or shouldn't say that to your parents, or just be able to genuinely ask how you are and be there to listen and recheck in with you later. So do you have someone like that? Did you give permission to someone to call you out- in love -to help you better your future? Maybe your thinking a coach, teacher or parent? Well you also have those people here at our youth group. Your leaders. Your leaders come every week for you and to be here for you through the good and bad! They're here just to be here for you how ever you need! So don't just ignore that, take advantage of the people that are here for you every week that God has intentionally put in this group and your life, because God did not intend for you to go through life alone!

So the first week of escape room we learned that when life is tough God is with us
Then last week we learned that when life is hard we can face it. This week is our last week in this escape room series and we are going to hear when life is hard we can find and give comfort.
Have you ever felt alone or like no one knows how you feel or what your going though? Do you ever feel like God can't understand what is going on or how you feel? Well your wrong! In mark Jesus is with three of his friends and he goes to gethsemane and prays to God saying that he feels sorrow to the level of death. He felt this pain he has gone though hurt and completely understands what you are going though not just because He is God but because he experienced it but he also wants us to persevere in the difficult times to be able to comfort others. We then read : 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
And often times when God gives us the comfort we seek we let it end with us, but the Bible says we need to take it a step further and comfort others. First you have to look for comfort. How do you look for comfort ?well we tell you guys first seek God if you feel like that doesn't work keep trying to seek him but look for a leader or a friend you trust that will help guide you in the right direction or just knows how to be there for you. Then once you feel that comfort you must look to comfort others! You get it to give it!
So look around for someone who might be struggling or someone who really needs a friend and be there for them try to help them out, and if you don't know how to help start by simply being there for them! Genuinely ask them how they are or how there week has been, and really listen. Often times comfort comes from just knowing that you have someone to talk to that actually cares and follows up with them.
So life is hard but.. God is with you,You can face it, and you will find comfort and should comfort others.

Throwback Thursday to our zombie night

Tonight's talk:
Escape room part 2
So last week we talked about how when life is hard God is still with us! And this week our main point is that when life gets hard we can face it!
Instead of going to our own things to escape the issues we have GOD SAYS THAT WE CAN FACE IT WITH HIM!
So we jump into the story of Joseph. Joseph was the youngest kid in his family and at that time in the past the oldest of the family was the favorite and the last child born had the least amount of worth, but in this family the father loved Joseph the most and so this made Joseph's brothers mad at him. They plotted to kill him in Genesis 37 :18-20
But ended up selling him to slavery instead. So yes this was a horrible time for Joseph but instead of just dealing with it in a harmful or bad way he faced it with God and through GOD, going through every struggle that followed (slavery, being accused of r**e, jail) and then long after that ends up with the pharaoh as his right hand man. And later actually has his brothers that sold him come to the pharaoh and him, and they bow down before Joseph, asking for food. Since Joseph faced it through God this was his response to this brothers Genesis 50:20
We also went over some of David's story, a boy who wasn't seen as much worth in his family and was just the Shepard boy. So Many people where trying to slay this big mean giant that was like 8ft tall and no one would step up or get it done but David, with his trust in God, said he would and really got it done, because this little Shepherd boy chose to face it! (1st Samuel 17:45-47)
Because both these men in the Bible stuck with God and faced the hardships with God they made it through and saw the the good in the end that God intended. In the verse James 1:2-4 it says : "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" so remember that with God when life gets hard we can face it!
