On this Memorial Day, we lift up our hearts in profound gratitude for the brave American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. As Christ followers, we are reminded of the profound truth in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." These courageous men and women embodied that sacrificial love, stepping forward to defend our freedoms and protect the innocent, knowing the heavy cost they might bear. Today, we pray for the families they left behind, asking the Lord to bring them comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Let us never take for granted the liberties we enjoy, but instead live lives that honor the heavy price paid for our freedom, keeping the memory of our fallen heroes forever in our prayers.
