Today was Mother’s Day. All the G-Kids made cards for their moms and Rooted and Club 56 decorated cookies for their mama’s (and one for themselves, too, of course!). And after service the Rooted kiddos passed out travel make-up bags to all the women at church. Along with a beautiful message from Pastor Victoria and Shellee, it was a beautiful day at Generations Church.

We are continuing our Armor of God series with the Chest Plate of Righteousness. The children learned how putting on the Chest Plate of Righteousness helps protect our hearts, and the kids made their own Chest Plates to wear.
The “Micah: Armor of God” videos on Right Now Media are great for teaching/reinforcing this lesson series.
This Sunday is Baptism Sunday, then we will learn another about piece of the armor.

Tonight we are hosting a Parent’s Night Out, part kids ministry fundraiser, part blessing the parents of our young families with a date night. Kids will play games, do a craft, decorate cookies, eat dinner, and watch a movie - with popcorn and hot cocoa - while their parents enjoy a date night on Valentine’s Day.

Our lesson on Sunday was the Fruit of the Spirit; Love. Perfect for the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. ❤️

Fruit of the Spirit series! The Rooted class learned about kindness this week. They painted rocks to leave at our book kiosk on the corner, then made birthday cards for Mr. boB (intentional spelling 😂). And Mr Alec was so sweet and made a card for my birthday that he had all the kids - and some adults - sign. Kindness was flowing at Generations Church this week! ❤️
This Sunday the lesson is about love. ❤️❤️❤️

Note: our book kiosk sustained some damage from the wind this season. It is currently under renovation and will be back up and running soon. We’ll post as soon as it’s back!

We learned about another Superhero of the Bible this week: Mary. Her Super Power was being obedient to God’s will for her even though it was probably scary and a lot of big responsibility of being the mom of Jesus! We also colored ornaments for our tree, played a ‘Take a Risk’ game, and put books in our book exchange kiosk on the corner. It was a busy day! And Ms Kylene stepped in as lead teacher today for the first time. Great job, Ms Ky!

Last week, our Kids Ministry sent 18 boxes to children in 3rd world countries through Samaritan’s Purse ‘Opetation Christmas Child’ ministry. This will be the 6th year we’ve tracked which countries our shoeboxes have gone to. We look forward to seeing which country this year’s boxes go to. ❤️
