This week was Baptism at church. The kids attended worship and the baptism, then returned to class to learn about what comes after baptism; being students of Jesus and being Jesus’ disciples.
Almost half of our K-4th grade class moved up to the 5th & 6th grade class and 2 of the littles who are moving into this class got to sit with the big kids on Sunday and they did great!

The church is decorated and ready for VBS! It starts in 2 days. Still accepting enrollment. 😁

VBS is a few weeks away!

Generations Church and the G-Kid's ministry is excited to be able to provide Vacation Bible School to the families in the Verdemont and surrounding areas.

VBS is open for children 5-12 years old.

Our VBS will take place: July 22-26
Wednesday-Saturday from 9am - 12pm
Sunday 10am-1pm

We’ve been busy preparing for VBS so I’ve not posted our weekly lessons like I want to. But this week we ‘celebrated’ Communion and what the Bible says about breaking bread together, and talked about the last dinner Jesus had with his disciples. The kids had a ‘feast’ of string cheese, Hawaiian rolls, grapes, and watermelon, and worshipped and had a dance-off. I’d say that was a pretty fun celebration!

This week was a somewhat bittersweet when we painted over last year’s VBS set panels to prepare for this year’s stage. Our theme this year is Snowball Mountain Challenge - a sort of ‘Winter Olympics Games’ meets ‘Social Media Influencer’, who all meet God’s word. To quote one of our main stage characters, “It’s going to be sick, Dude!”. It’ll be Wednesday July 22-Sunday July 26, 9am-noon. Info for sign-ups coming soon!!

We’ve been busy in G-Kids the past few weeks! After wrapping up our Armor of God series, we started a new series that we’re calling Celebration. God doesn’t just tolerate our celebrating, he actually calls for us to celebrate - even giving us some pretty detailed instruction on HOW to celebrate at times. This is our first lesson last week:

Today was Mother’s Day. All the G-Kids made cards for their moms and Rooted and Club 56 decorated cookies for their mama’s (and one for themselves, too, of course!). And after service the Rooted kiddos passed out travel make-up bags to all the women at church. Along with a beautiful message from Pastor Victoria and Shellee, it was a beautiful day at Generations Church.

We are continuing our Armor of God series with the Chest Plate of Righteousness. The children learned how putting on the Chest Plate of Righteousness helps protect our hearts, and the kids made their own Chest Plates to wear.
The “Micah: Armor of God” videos on Right Now Media are great for teaching/reinforcing this lesson series.
This Sunday is Baptism Sunday, then we will learn another about piece of the armor.
